A prime example is Brendon Urie in Panic! At the Disco with I Write Sins Not Tragedies. He's pretty public about how spent he is with that song.

When I was heading into middle school I was a skater kid who played guitar and listened to this era of music.
I started kicking it with Gangsters into middle school and one of my best friends at the time sent me this song and told me she dedicated it to me. So glad I turned my life around

Avril died in 2003 or 2004, before her second album. This i Melissa, her body double. Her voice is softer but she doesn't draw out certain words the way Avril did.

Melissa was strictly used as a body-double to keep pressure off Avril.

@@kalyngriffin1518 She was literally battling Lyme’s disease. If you actually cared about Avril, then you would’ve known the disease nearly killed her and terribly damaged her vocal cords
You know I read somewhere that she had died and I think when she had Lyme disease that might have been the case. But I'm glad to see that she's alive and well and doing what she loves to do best
