Simplex SLJ 6600 restore service clean disassembled Dismantled

Simplex SLJ Restored….One of the best Simplex derailleurs ever made. Dates from the early 80’s according to velobase (that seems right). Unfortunately, this one could only be restored to bookshelf grade. The soft aluminium threads did not enjoy a sudden impact.

Hi mate, massive thanks for uploading this video. I just backed the screw out of the derailleur cage and lost all tension and was clueless as to how to put it back together until I saw this. Cheers!
