Terrific , almost first snow. Fin tip from a ski instructor - your skiing is good enough to try bringing your feet closer together on turns and straight , when you master that it will take less energy , and be easier on the legs , plus deeper powder will be a breeze.
That’s nice thanks for the tips- gosh I keep trying and it feels so foreign to not have my legs at “athletic” stance! But encouraging to hear it’s less of a thigh workout 😂

Our governor has the whole state locked down. Don't waste your money on a ski vacation this year.
Love you guys. I live in Colorado. I am 78 now and my skiing days are just a memory. So love to be able to see the ski resorts through you and how things have changed. I am sorry a lot of our state his closed down. Can’t wait to watch next week. Enjoy your stay and welcome to God’s country. ❤️❤️

Don't be sorry! This is the best place to be during pandemic winter. You can be outside and enjoy the mtns and still stay safe. We've been getting plenty of turns in at Keystone the past few weeks.

It's interesting seeing how places have adapted due to COVID. Curious how many things will remain once it's safe. I think there are some things that work better with COVID procedures. We're in NZ and we have found some procedures have remained even though we are safe now.

I have both, prefer the ski boots for skiing and use the snow board boots for walking around.

Interesting fact, I went snowboarding once, and the sound of the snow squeaking had the same effect on me as nails on a chalkboard... And it never went away, I tried music, but I decided to stick to scuba diving...
No way! I love when the snow is squeaky! It means its nice powder usually!
On the flipside, we can't hear anything when we scuba because we usually hurt our ears trying to equalize!
Welcome to Summit County Colorado, my homesince 2001. We have a 2006 Sprinter, love it. May I suggest adding Arapahoe Basin & Loveland to your intro.
We're working hard on getting to the point we can call Summit county home as well! Would totally have a van if we lived out West- there is so much available from such a short drive. I know its a constant joke about how many people have moved to CO in the past years, but any of your friends there absolutely love being able to easily travel to amazing outdoor destinations.

Keystone is hands down our favorite. Jackson Hole is awfully damn close though.

They’ve been blowing snow like crazy here. Keystone is nice and cold and they’re opening new runs every day!

I bought my skis in Germany while stationed in Germany. Skied all over Europe. As an instructor and a trail tester. For or group so they would know what to expect for each trail.

I finally got to watch this episode. I was down with Covid =( but I am recovered now and back to life again.
It's always a pleasure to see what you guys are doing. I love the snow and I am a total winter/Christmas person! This made me happy.

Snow forecast for Colorado looks really bad this year most artificial it seems and no off piste action. Can you guys go somewhere more interesting like Hokkaido?
Funny you say that- we had tickets for Feb in Japan and planned to spend three weeks there. Unfort it never opened up to tourism so we had to cancel. They say Japan isn't taking visitors until at least April.

I have never learned to ski or snowboard, but one of these days I am gonna load myself on one of those big ass saucers and barrel downhill. Sitting of course🤣😂
I don't ski but I go to Keystone every year. I love the little town of Montezuma just miles away from Keystone. Great four-by-four 4 trails and now that I have picked up a mountain bike I will be biking there this summer! I have two favorite places in Colorado. Keystone and Silverton. I prefer Silverton but Keystone is absolutely Epic!

Lived in the area for 20 years, favs in order: Vail, Breck, Aspen, Copper, Winter Park, Steamboat. Nice to see they are making it happen this year.
We only got Epic passes but from what we've seen this season is going full steam ahead. It would be devastating to the mtn communities to shut down so I'm glad that everything has been put in place to keep these resorts open!
You didn't mention the Summit County Public Health Order: "Lodging stays limited to a single household in any lodging unit, including short-term vacation rentals (STRs). A household is defined as the person or persons who live together in a single residence. The single-household limit applies to all lodging stays, including those for which reservations have already been made. Any existing reservations that include guests from two or more households must be changed or canceled to comply with the regulation."
You should do a Lake Tahoe ski trip when Covid clears up.
Other than being freezing a.. cold, this makes me miss skiing! That was my sport in my twenties. Then I got cold. Ha ha - love the sign off "look forward to next week" thing!
It was negative five during first chair today....so I can agree about the cold thing!

Excited to see you guys keep shredding that pow. I’m new to skiing but hope to make it out to Colorado some day for it! What are the covers for the goggles? Does that help protect them from scratches?
That's actually our friends who make those- Powderhound Products. Totally shameless plug here in case anyone else had the same question. We leave our goggles on our helmets so these simple covers keep them safe in the car or at Apres.
