    Thanks for the tutorial! is there more information on how you set up your rig so root motion sticks to translation and rotation? as the screen was cutting that off. Thank you!

      are you asking how to keep the animation in place while animating instead of walking off position? if so depending on what you are using the process is pretty easy. On unity you can literally open the animation up and go to the root bone and delete its x and z motions in every keyframe. for mixamo it will be the hips bone. not sure what it would be called from this. in any case if you are not using this for unity the principle still applies, delete the x and z changes on the root bone in every key frame. its not the eloquent and easy way to do it through the program but it will work with any animation you get even ones you haven't made yourself. oh and for rotation it should be more or less the same thing. make backups with your animations and test out these different changes and I'm sure you'll get it right. Assuming I have interpreted your question correctly. and no I am no professional but this was something I have learned. let me know if this was any help.
      edit: what he is doing in the video is technically the same thing as what I suggested except instead of deleting the x keyframes he is zeroing out the transform changes which will also make the animation not move from starting position. even in unity you could probably do this as well.

    nice but their software is needs and really expensive right?

    • @Filmstorm
      @Filmstorm  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah it’s really expensive :( That’s the one downside it’s super expensive - although they have work at home offers at the moment which reduces the price of various things. Might be worth checking out?

      @@Filmstorm as long as the needed software is so expensive it's not really affordable for freelancers

      @@davidmonteiro6822 Yeah I think one of the deals is a reduced price on software for a year, but it keeps changing. Best to find out from them directly :)

    PRICE: $12,500
    that's a nope from me since there's a cheaper motion tracking suit for $3000 at Rokoko

    • @Filmstorm
      @Filmstorm  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      True it’s expensive, but for the time you save and quality out of the box you’ll save so much more in development time. An animator can take Xsens motions and have it in game in a few hours, Rokoko’s data requires a lot of processing due to the magnetic interference in the nodes, which causes drifting and sliding of the joints.

      12.5 for one year?

    • @mancio18
      @mancio18 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Filmstorm I can definitely confirm that. Used to work with Rokoko and the most time consuming task is to process al the takes with the filters, which XSens automatically does with the HD-Reprocess. I tried XSens last month and it's absolutely better. Very low amount of cleaning required on the animations.
