So it was my mistake on believing that there are two artists singing in the video, I want to clear this up by saying it's only DIMASH singing. If you make it all the way to the end I clearly realized this when showing the description in the video. I am just blown away at the amount of work he put into this production! @@Cinematic_Jesse no apologies needed, it's easy to do if you've never heard Dimash before. This is why with music reactors we never recommend this song until they've seen him perform 3 or 4 songs as they get confused, obviously being a cinematic reactor it's a bit different.
Although every music video from Dimash is spectacular this is his magnum opus but exactly as he plays with music genres, he does the same with movie genres too and each music video is very different from the last.
Btw there's a rumour that he's just starred in his first movie, although it's not actually in a Jackie Chan movie like we thought which is surprising as they are really good friends.

I was a primary school teacher. Last year, shortly before I retired, I showed this clip to my students. I believe that I gave the best and most educational lesson of my 26-year career. I am sure that each of them will defend their right to life and say "no to war" when they grow up. ❤

He opened the eyes of his critical compatriots. Today, Dimash is his country's "cultural ambassador" and a "national treasure" (no official title). He himself is a proud Kazakh and patriot and is passionately committed to peace in the world.
Dimash plays at least 7 instruments, traditional dombra is a must in Kazakh familys. He speaks 3 languages: Kazakh (mother tongue), Russian without an accent (second language in Kazakhstan) and English. So far he sings in 16 languages (phonetically). Dimash says dancing is difficult for him. But he moves great on stage and his hands speak. He is a grandios and sensitive story teller. Dimash trains his voice 3 hours every day...but he says: "You don't have to know how hard I've worked, you just have to enjoy the results."

This masterpiece is all Dimash. He came up with the idea, wrote the screenplay, wrote the script, did the storyboard, composed all the music, and had his words put into English lyrics. He took the role of the main character, he is as you can see a superb actor, and he worked extremely closely with the director to make sure that his vision was made perfectly clear. Dimash is a super hard worker and perfectionist, it took 3 years in between his studies (masters degree in composition and then his P.hD), huge concerts and any other appearances, other compositions and videoes, to compose the music alone. Dimash is a world renowned vocalist and all round musical genius with a massive fan base. His vocal range is huge, more than a piano, and his control over his beautiful voice is phenomenal. This video and song are his passionate call for peace in the world. The depiction of war here is gritty, bloody, and realistic of the consequences of these crazy leaders that we see causing this misery throughout history. Dimash is a humanitarian who puts his art and his longing for the spread of love and light out there. He is brave enough to do this. Its not his first anti war song, he also wrote War and Peace, when he was in his early 20s. There is no woman singing, it is ALL DIMASH's voice. The commander is the taller boy grown up, Dimash , as the soldier is the drowning boy, the pregnant woman is his wife and mother of the murdered girl. The necklace is a gnome, which is part of a sundial. The soldier kills his old friend, who had his daughter killed, and the soldier is killed in turn, and at the moment that his wife dies in childbirth. They child becomes the leader of the pilgrims, who are heading away from war towards peace, toward the light. The pilgrims represent all religions. Dimash performed this for the council on religions. The Pope was there and gave Dimash a medal. I believe that the quote at the end is from this council. Thank you for your insight and observations. Yes, very very powerful.

Dimash is an absolute master at his craft which is music and visual presentations of his art. The Story of One Sky is a masterpiece with the most important message in his heart, unity and peace throughout the world. He premiered the song itself before he premiered the film on Sept 22nd, 2022 at his "Stranger" Almaty concert in Kazakhstan in front of 35,000 of his fans who flew in from 68 countries around the world to see him live. The entire concert is on his TH-cam channel in three parts as it was almost 4 hrs long.
Other superb MVs are his recent "When I've Got You" which is another cinematic marvel and "Smoke" MV which is just fun. "Be With Me" is another great short film that is tongue in cheek. "Akkuym" MV is gorgeous storytelling (My Swan in Kazakh), an earlier MV that is very artistic is "Love of Tired Swans" MV based on an old Russian tale. Anything is great on his TH-cam Channel.

Thank you for reacting to this. This is my "Dear song", the piece that had such a huge impact on me that I fell deep and hard down the Dimash rabbit hole and I have zero intention of coming out! Dimash is a master at his art but not just the vocals. His ability to not only craft but relay the story is... It defies description. I mean, consider that his formal acting lessons have been incredibly limited and he's never been married, nor has he been a father or fought in a war. And yet I would deeply and truly believe he'd personally done all of those things by his performance here. He draws you in so completely in every performance, no matter the tyle, language, or content. And not only that but he only does performances that matter to him, and this labor of love is a perfect example of his heart and his character. There's so much to unpack in this, and I'm both impressed and pleased with how much you caught onto, especially going in totally blind!
I think you'd really enjoy some of his other MVs including one of his newest ones, "When I've Got You", which draws on a lot of lore and different film genres and themes! Also, "Qairan Elim" is both gorgeous and heart breaking, and "Golden" is a fantastic journey! I will keep an eye out for more Dimash reactions from you! Love from Oregon!

Personally like millions of other dears i prefer the version of Online digital concert january 2021 that is my favorite version of the song Sos sung perfectly and divinely live only by Dimash..The versions of I'm singer 2017 and Slavic Bazaar 2018 are good versions but are very old and for some reasons are not in my favorite versions of this song..The Boss King Angel And The Living Legend Dimash

This is the only video from Dimash for which I wish reactors were somewhat prepared. It's jarring and powerful and there's better depth of understanding when you have seen some of his other music and interviews. I'm sure you've heard from others about the humanitarian award he received for this from the Pope. An amazing young man.

Dimash is the 8th wonder of the world. Crossing musical genres, has sung in 15 languages, plays multiple instruments, has a 7 octave range and a heart of gold. He has also directed one of his own mv’s as well. He is a perfectionist to the highest degree but a human first and foremost. There aren’t enough great words to describe scribe him.

He enrolled at NYU film school before this release, it is an interest-and dare I say yet another talent of Dimash. He is an extraordinary young man, performer and singer without equal, IMO. Dimash did not enroll at the New York film school. He was given a scholarship to do so but refused it because he did not want to take the time away from his music. He passed the scholarship to someone he felt was more deserving.
All of this he stated himself in the Q and A section of the Oppo press conference and fan meeting. He doesn't need a formal education for this, he's learning everything he needs to know on the job with each music video. We all saw what a phenomenal job he did with Qairan Elim where he both directed and did some of the camera work.

Know and Tired swans ar very artistic, Be with me and Smoke are funny and lightheaded, Akkuum (sWan) is a love theme and also Okay, which is set in Russian oppressiontime. Screaming is a popsong ( and as allways with operatic innings) and When ive got you is a blousy, rock, and oldstyle scary movie. He has been singing in a lot of other movies (not of his own production; he has his own productioncompany - Dimashali) Hes been in Across endless dimensions (filmmovie), a couple of Jackie Chan movies, Powerrangers and several computerfilms (chineese). Ive probaply missed a few.

The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, finally, I found this person and that person is Dimash. I would strongly recommend Quiran Elim as this is an mv Dimash co-directed. It’s about his homeland of Kazakhstan which he is very passionate about. He is always trying to bring Kazakh culture and history to the forefront through his music.

When you listen to more of Dimash's work you will just be deer in the headlight stunned, he is best male vocalist ever, ever ever! He also speaks multiple languages, plays multiple instruments. I had the privilege of attending the Istanbul concert of our beloved Dimash on 24.05.2024. @12:49 During this part of this extraordinary song, not a single sound was heard from the audience in the stadium. We were experiencing a magical and mystical moment. I wish with all my heart that everyone can experience Dimash's live performance at least once in their life.

@@Cinematic_Jesse just another thought, there's another actor/director who did a 2 part review of this and he was so intrigued by the shooting process he actually contacted the director of photography who was extremely kind and helpful about answering all his questions.
Dimash seems to gather very similar people to himself around him, who don't have ego and are very happy to share and discuss their creative process so if you ever want any in depth information I'm sure they'd be happy to talk with you.
Dimash is a different person, he's quite shy and introverted and he rarely gives interviews, although he's very interactive with his fans when travelling, it's obviously a huge relief when he can get home and vanish from sight into his studio and work without interruption.

And I agree with you that those are souls lost to violence in the processional scenes--most people say that the final scene showing Dimash represents his son leading those searching for peace, but I've always gone with the interpretation you gave to it. Congrats for you understanding the video as well as you did--it is so overwhelming visually and musically with a complex story-line that most people have trouble at various points. But that keeps us coming back to watch it over and over--every viewing lets you see and appreciate another detail adding to the whole experience.
