- These boots take custom to the max! Sporting our new Canyon Bison Leather, these arborist boots have hand cut lace to toe vamps that lead into a custom lineman patches. And don't forget the 12 inch uppers for that added protection for the calfs. Lineman patches add an extra layer to protect the foot when climbing trees and poles. Steal shanks and lineman shanks are added in the bottoming process to give a sturdy and ridged support when climbing with gaffs. At size 11 7E these boots needed a custom addition to our lasts, in order to widen the boot even more.

Thanks for the lack of music in the video. I love the sound of the shop.
11 7e. Holy cow. And people still will ask why custom boots are $100 more expensive (whenever you aren't having a discount on custom boots)
Holy bison
@@johnr1350 holy underwear!
They made me a pair that was 11.5 8E.......
I’m saving up to buy another pair of these so I don’t have to go without my JKs when I send one in for a resole
Best way to do it!
The man is an artist, and the sewing machine is his pen💥💫💥
Truly an artist 🙌
DAMN! No wonder these last as long as they do with how they're put together, especially the stitching.
That stitching ain't going nowhere 💪
@@jkbootsusa YEP!
Watching these videos makes waiting for my custom bisons that much harder! 4 more months......!!
Almost there!! 😅
@@jkbootsusa had to scratch the JK itch and bought a pair of OT Pros during the Christmas sale so at least I have those to break in til the bisons come!
The waiting is the hardest part 🎶🎶🎶
Those things are BEASTS
That is the most relaxed leather I've ever seen. It's like it is already broke-in from every angle.
Just got my pair of custom forefronts. 11.5 8E and you lowered the arch for me. Arch still feels a tad high for me. But i can wear them all day at work, the off the shelf pair i ordered first i couldn't wear for more than a few steps. I'm still breaking them in, the more i wear them the more i like them. I'm kind of debating if i'm breaking in the boots or their breaking me in. Oddly enough i was having some pain in my right knee which started to feel better after i started wearing them at work.
Watching and seeing how these boots are made is absolutely fascinating and I’m currently saving money to pay a pair of JK boots to live on the family tradition of loggers and that footwear. Absolutely amazing work of art and time put into these boots and would be great for lineman work. Keep the amazing work you guys do going.
Thanks a lot! Thats what we like to hear 🙌
Done deal, I’m ordering a pair. Really cool people still have this skill.
Beautiful work! Great video
Absolutely gorgeous
Beautiful boots.
Can't wait to be able to afford my 13 6Es!
Those are some beautiful boots.
Glad you like them!
Nice video thanks for makin
just wow....how I wish I can afford this type of boots
Yeah I’m gonna buy a pair of your boots at some point in the near future. My Hoffmans are getting pretty tired
Love my JK's I can't beat on them enough! These things are absolute chonkers lol
Very very good i like this boots
Those are awesome
Amazing!
Good looking boot
Thanks!
I have no reason to own a pair of boots like this……but man, do I wish I did have a reason!
Damn those are nice. Very similar to the Nick's boots. Me personally if I had bison boots that texture would be on the outside.. great stuff though
Who would have thought paul bunyan was still alive and chopping trees in the pacific northwest
Beautiful, phenomenal, excellent work! What is the sewing machine you're using in this video?
These remind me of my Army Matterhorn's
Seve un muy buen trabajo, no se donde están pero quisiera hacer una consulta está bota se podría hacer con suelas de las botas Magnum que son de goma más gruesa en vez de las de cuero. Gracias por su tiempo
@jkbootsusa Can the o.t redwood be made with a zero drop sole?
The thread in the stitching in the outsole will easily be worn down because of friction with the ground
Funny that a TH-cam ad at the beginning of this video was for a competition boot company. Thanks again TH-cam. Then at 19 min TH-cam inserted a Thursday Boot ad. Thank once more TH-cam.
nice work, although I prefer the straight corner
Dope AF results, @jkbootsusa!
What’s the total cost on these boots? And can you get them with steel toe
I like the white thread . What made you guys decide to switch from Kevlar thread?
Kevlar is for the fire rated fire boots normally in the
Industry, idk about JK. Regular thread, actually, works better.
i ordered mine ab a month ago can you do a video of you guys building mine?
That's awesome, we'll take a look 👍
LTT, linesman shank and patch?
Worth the money by far. I've been trying to buy EVERYTHING in this order: first locally then from Canada (not just packaged in), my home country, good luck on that!, then North America then South America. It is nearly IMPOSSIBLE when it comes to clothes, shoes, socks even tools and appliances. Try it for a year, you get very sick of reading 'Made in China' or some other country with little to no laws regarding child labor or even equality in general. I don't mind buying from USA and South America except in S. America the gangs control so much. I'd gladly pay $100 extra esp hand made!
How much do these weigh?
Why aren't the stitching on the sock hidden? They will wear off when wearing.
How much did they cost the customer?
Does Jk build winter boots like for warmth: alaska winter
You can add insulation on custom boots.
Bradar I'm tamilnadu coblar yuar work suppar❤
Why is the rubber sole part thinner than the leather itself. I want a much thicker rubber sole, I would go through that in 6 months.
Is it because they are OTs and not Superdutys?
Mountain hiking viberg boots 👢 replica but loggers 10’ excellent
Holy sh*t 7E, the Superdutys I wear are 5E they are wide looking I can't imagine 7E they will be wide as snow shoes. People think its funny my boots look so wide, I can't help it it was what I was born with size 12 3 to 4E feet.
Luckily boot makers can accommodate
@12345....... Yep any size can be made. it just depends on how much you want to spend.
I like jk boots but am not a fan of how they do the lace to toe model. The bothered my pinky toes. Tim and his brother William took care of me. I had not one problem with customer service at jK boots. Thi was a few year's ago. The are doing custom boots for all lifestyles to enjoy. Keep up the great work. I always enjoy the weth of knowledge the teach with the video's.
What is that peanut butter glue?
Sure doesn't taste like it 😂
18:00 Would it also be possible to use some sort of nail gun here? Looks like a lot of nails.

Why the steel shank and not a leather shank? See at 16:54.
If you look closely, you can see the steel shank under the think leather shank they covered it with. Their usual leather shanks aren't that flimsy of a material that he was holding.
A metal shank is what the customer requested in his boot, likely for using gaffs to climb, but could be for a stiffer more ridged arch (some people prefer the feel). The shank is in his hand when glueing at 16:44 but our video doesn't show him sticking the metal down. You can kinda see it under second piece of thin leather. This is called a cover shank. Hopefully that clears up any of the confusion 👍
Thanks. Yes, I can clearly see the metal shank in the video. I was just curious.@@jkbootsusa
Bison heads
those things would survive a nuclear blast
all that work and no grooves for the stitches in the soul?
Dondeseconseguiranenvenezuelasaludos
No slip sole on any of their boots...
Super craftsmanship but the logo design is too big and tacky tho
Them things are clonkers.
Every video is the same as the previous one and it is no longer enjoyable to watch. Why don't you make videos showing the quality of the leather types and other materials you use and how they are selected? Also, the durable boot models you produce are very limited and you are not innovative.
