Hahaha how your hubby said “ emni tei lage “ dakur moto. That was hilarious 🤣. How cum you rubbed ice directly on your skin . Always put in a thin cloth and then apply on skin. My goodness you got frostbite !! Regarding preserving chilies. Subbu cooks did a whole video on it. I love her advice and had been following it since then with great results. Did you order Thai chilies through Instacart? I tried but they always say out of stock. Lucky you 😀

Sweetheart, one quick tip. I noticed you have cut onions and kept open in the background. That is very bad for health as onions tend to catch all the bacteria in the environment. Cut onions just before using. Also, I have frozen chillies. They are still fresh after two months. Remove the head of the chilli and put it in a ziplock. Remove all the air from the bag. Every time you use it, remove the chilies and use immediately. If they thaw, they will become soft. So, take how many chilies you need...chop and use immediately before they come to room temperature. I have also frozen curry leaves in the same way. I hope this helps. 😘

You should not directly apply the ice on your face because our skin is very sensitive. Try to wrap it in a cloth and then apply that, this way the ice won't cause you burns as it did before.
The idea is to just cool the face so dab the ice wrapped in cloth, that should do the trick!

There are various ways to store chillies,
    1. If there is good enough sunlight then dry those chilli and store.
    2. Clean properly and chop them into small pieces and store in air tight container in RF.
    3. You can make paste of red chilli and add 1/2 cup of oil in the paste (this is one of the best way to preserve) and would last long for almost 4 months...
    4. On daily basis use the red chilli first then go for green.

We have been able to control the situation in Luxembourg because somewhere people are respecting the protocols. I would request your family and yourself to please continue to maintain your social distancing protocol....Do not act irresponsibly as other people. In doing the right thing, you are also keeping your beautiful daughter safe Payal. Take care ❤️❤️❤️.

Do not freeze, take the stem off when cleaned and wiped dry, then wrap in kitchen paper towel, few at a time and make packs...Now in an airtight glass jar, first put some paper kitchen towel, then put one packagain some tissues, another pack and so on till you reach the top. On the top add some for paper towel layer and close the air tight jar, keep in refrigerator. Now take one pack out at a time and keep in the handy box you use for chillies and use...It will stay for over a month

For green chillies preservation: Remove the stems, wipe the chillies with a dry napkin, separate in batches, put each batch in a kitchen paper towel, wrap it and then put all these batches in a plastic bag or box. If you put in a plastic bag, ensure all air is removed and put a rubber band. Ensure you use one batch at a time, before openings another one. The trick is to avoid moisture and air.

  • @sumitrasaha5566

I seperate the stem and wash them and put on a paper towel to dry. Once dry I seperate the red and yellow in one ziplock bag and the green one in seperate zip lock bag. I Use the yellow red chillies first so I use seperate bag and put them inside the freezer. Like this you can stock chillies for 3 months. Earlier I used to put it inside the freezer without washing but now bcz of COVID-19 I am washing them.

I’ve been freezing green chilies paste for about 10 years. I make paste to last a month or so just because I make fresh ginger garlic paste by grating it and it’s difficult to make green chilies paste of just a couple of chilies every time. I wash and completely dry the chilies and grind without any water. You can add salt to get the grinder going and then when you store in the freezer add good amount of salt to prevent the ice crystal formation. And then you can use the frozen paste easily. Just scoop some out with a spoon

Just grind it and keep it in ice cube tray so u can use one portion at a time. And the red one grind separately because it has good aroma. Oh yes when u grind add a spoon of salt in it. It will thaw very quickly. We make ginger, garlic and chilly and tomato paste and keep in freezer. It works well. Just take it out 30 min before cooking. This has saved me all the prep time.

Keep red ones seperately and use them first and just crush greens ones roughly and keep in air tight box then place it in freezer .. when ever u need stab the required peice of bricked (iced) green chilli with knife ... As you can not freeze them as whole chilli u have to crush and store

Awesome! Finally you got your favorite thing. Now you can separate the chillies from it’s stem and store it in a stainless steel container. It keeps them fresh until a month.

For a young and clear complexion avoid these 3 S’s , Soap , Sunshine , and Smoking. My Aunt had a beautiful complexion and as a teenager I was always complementing her on her complexion and skin , one day she revealed to me that she has never used soap on her face , she just washed her face with water. The sun too can create havoc with our skin , so use proper sunscreen and also wear a scarf or something so that the sunlight doesn’t fall straight on your face. I think the third thing we guys don’t need to worry about but if there is somebody who smokes then remember nothing ages the skin more than smoking. Just added my two cents , I hope nobody minds.

Hi Payal, I exactly know what you’re going through!!! It’s the same situation here in Denver CO as well, weather is getting nice and a little warmer and people in my neighborhood are getting together in the streets in huge groups and having fun n enjoying as if it’s July 4th weekend🙄
For green chillies, I freeze them all the time! It’s very simple, when I buy them, I wash them, dry them on paper towel on island for couple of hours, then just put them in ziploc freezer bags n freeze, that’s it! It stays good for me for atleast 6 months and whenever I need to add in a recipe I just remove 3-4 chillies from freezer and just use them like normal mirchi...Hope this helps😊

    Hi payal
These days I am your regular viewer ,
I tried your medu vada method on aluminium foil , it was work very great.
I always use this chilly so this is just my suggestion that I normally grind or use can use that small manual hand chopper so it won’t loose moisture, you can sprinkle even easily.
And put lots of salt and freeze it , it will easily stay like that for atleast 15-20 days.
But you have to make sure it has salt so when you use you don’t need so much salt in that dish. That way normally I use ,
    Thank you ☺️ 🙏

      Hi
Yes you have to freeze with adding salt ,
Here salt will work as preservative
But then you don’t need much salt in all your dishes when you use that paste even you can do same thing with ginger as well

Just remove the chilly stem from top and layer them by placing the tissue paper in between in steel or plastic container and it’s good for almost a month and it will remain green too

  • @mangoapple4146

Payal, take out the stems from the chilli and store it in a netted veggie bag where air can pass through. I do the same and it stays fresh upto a month. But if I want more shelf life then I basically make a green chilli paste with garlic , oil and salt and store it in fridge. Goes upto months. Tastes great In curries , fried items also. I have done the same for garlic as we are not finding garlic too often in bay area.

Hi payal how do u clean fruits and veggies.

  • @growingupinminimal5986
    @growingupinminimal5986 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Dear Payal didi
Since you will be using this Green Chillies regularly, while cooking and you're worried about it longer shelf life as mentioned in the Video, you can wash it and let it dry naturally then take it's stem out, separate Red chillies and fresh green chillies and store it in Airtight container placing tissue paper at the bottom and on the lead of the container. This tissue paper will suck the moisture which may be come due to Refrigerator.
Regarding Red chillies it's only color has changed as it has turned older, it doesn't means it has become spoil other chillies. But keeping away from green chillies is recommended.
Also while using this place order for other batch of Vegetables too😂
( I know you're well aware about it.)
ALSO YOU CAN USE THE SAME TECHNIQUES FOR FEW LEAFY VEGETABLES TOO.
