IMO Korean League players (and RTS players) are better on average because the government subsidizes and supports gaming even more than the USA government supports college/professional sports like American Football, Basketball, and Baseball.
It’s also definitely culture too. growing up around games is more socially acceptable. Also having a role model like faker is crazy for a sport, similar to how Ronaldo or Messi would’ve inspired people from Argentina and Portugal. Ppl in harder servers are forced to play better players of course, meaning they’ll get better faster too there’s so many factors in it
I kinda don’t agree with the arguments on why China is a good region, and Korea outperforms them. Don’t get me wrong, China is a great region, and the number of players is a factor, however, if your logic was fine, then India would be top tier in almost all sports, being it esports or classic sports. The infrastructure around something is much more important than the sheer number of users/players
China is better by averages. But Korea has the best at the highest level. China is 1A to Korea being 1. It isn't a huge disparity like KR to EU and EU to NA.
There's many factors to it. It also depends on general culture around gaming and also the gaming culture. For example, EU outperforms NA in CS because CS was way more popular in EU since the 1.6 days. This also ties back to the player population though, since popularity means more people playing the game. MOBAs are more popular in Asia so Asia produces more top tier players in MOBAs, but if you look at something like COD, most of the top tier COD players came from NA because NA had the biggest console market, and for a long while COD was a console only e-sport. Infrastructure is an important thing but you're also not considering one of the biggest factors: opportunity to play these games at all, and im not just speaking around a support system like Korea. China, Korea, NA, EU are all regions where technology is advanced and poverty isnt (relatively) that high, people have day to day access to computers or consoles to play these games. Even if you cant afford a computer yourself, gaming cafes are very popular in China, Korea and Eastern Europe. Even though India is a huge country, the majority of the population, even if they own a computer or can afford to go to gaming cafes multiple times a week, they simply do not have the opportunity to "waste" time on gaming when they have much bigger problems to actually take care of.
doesn't hit a single 3 star 4 cost in over a month, goes onto a smurf, has uploaded 5 of them in a week but at least you're not "tryharding" against gold players right
@@MarkDissel how is this not how tft works? the 3 star 4 cost is a product of him smurfing. check any other video, he rarely ever hits level 9 because he's playing against other good players, so he has to roll for charm and commonly has to sell his bench to do so. now he's playing extremely well optimized at every stage of the game, and he knows he's against players who are less optimized, meaning he can save up and greed way more. getting a 3 star 4 cost basically guarantees first place. so now every player he queues into just has their placement automatically lowered by one because they lowrolled getting boxbox into their match
@@PotatoTortoise there is a difference between ‘tryharding’ and just ‘playing the game’. If he would tryhard he would force an S tier build every game. Now he buys emblems for fun etc. So idk what you are yapping about
@@smallone2351 the point is that him not "tryharding" is his only moral justification for smurfing, yet he still has 8 1st places in a row on this account, so him "tryharding" is irrelevant when the outcome is the same

Compared to China where it's a communist run country and they would rather train their children for war instead of having them play games 😂

Tell me you don’t know how tft works without telling me you don’t know how TFT works
Going on a smurf account is the opposite of tryhard lmao
