Governor Mbah of Enugu State has today, 26th March 2024, signed into Law the Bill that sought to upgrade the State University of Medical and Applied Sciences ( SUMAS) Igbo-Eno to a teaching university hospital status.
■ This is in line with the priority the Mbah administration placed on education, which has a large chunk of 33% of the state's budget.
■ Mbah, while signing the bill into Law, pledged his administration's support to the management of the university in line with his government's philosophy and policy on education.
■ By this law, SUMAS can now teach medicine and allied courses unencumbered.
■ SUMAS is located at Igbo-Eno, near Orba, in Udenu Local Government of Enugu State. By implication, Governor Mbah extends his development…
