    I tried like hell to get a Hawk 250 but everyone was out of stock for the next 4 months, so I go a 150cc scooter. At least it's a 2020 model and does 65mph. During winter I will bolt on a 171cc head and piston so it's easier on the motor. Great work Cheez.

    You will definitely want to install that oil cooler. These large displacement high output horizontal motors have minor issues with thermal control, which is why you get said oil cooler.

      @@MotoCheez What you did with the swap would take most people an entire weekend to accomplish. There's a market for mods that people just don't want to spend the time to do. A lot of people have more money than time. Hopefully the oil cooler doesn't give you issues since it's an engine swap. I know a lot of guys that did big bore kits on Groms in the early days ended up destroying the engines because even though they had oil coolers, the stock pump wasn't strong enough to flow the oil through it.
    And it's quite strange to me that none of these bikes seem to have 5-speed transmissions out of the box, outside of maybe the (rather different) Kymco Spade 150. I mean, there's been a 5 speed kit for the Grom since year one, you'd think at least one of these clones would have something like that from the get go.

    • @MotoCheez
      @MotoCheez  4 ปีที่แล้ว
