I don’t understand why they choose 737-8. For me it is very similar to 738, which often was used as a short for 737-800. They could’ve just used another word instead of MAX as a rebrand.
I try to choose SQ whenever possible, but I wouldn't fly on the 737-8 aka 737-Max. No matter how the plane is rebranded, it is still the same plane. SQ should consider replacing them with Airbus instead.
