The funny this is that, at 9 chapters long, F-Zero GX is relatively short. But, it's so freakishly difficult to beat that a game that could be finished in 1 day ends up taking 1 year to complete instead.

I remember when i was like 12 years old, after months i finally completed this chapter; i was like OMG I fucking did it!!! I felt so satisfied with myself until Deathborn showed up, my reaction was like "what?" and after he killed Black Shadow i stayed like "WHAT?!!" To me at that moment was like the most awesome cutscene i've ever seen; after months i finally got to finish this chapter and then race vs the main villain and ended up beating him on that same day and the ghosts from ch9 lol. They dont make games like this anymore, to me this is the best racing game of all time B')
0:40 Black Shadow really didn’t see the Blue Falcon next to him the entire time? Update: after watching this again, there’s even more errors. When Captain Falcon and Black Shadow are talking before the race, there at the front of the pack but they’re near the back once the race starts. At 0:46 there’s no cars ahead of the Blue Falcon but at 0:49 there’s four cars ahead of him. At 0:44 Hyper Speeder can be seen at the far right in the back but at 1:05, it’s next to Black Shadow and Captain Falcon.
Man, what a brutally tough but rewarding game. I somehow managed to finish the entire game including every story mission on very hard when it first released in 2003 - I was 13 at the time. I was one determined kid, haha. I'd come home from school and spend entire afternoons just working away at each of the very hard story missions until I finally got through them all and this was the very last one I finished. None of my friends who owned the game at the time were ever able to do it. Once every couple years, I come back and replay the game all the way through and beat all the very hard story missions again just to make sure I've "still got it" as a gamer haha. Today was that day for me and man, this game is every bit as much of a gem and a sheer adrenaline rush as it was when it first released.
When I finally won this chapter, it was a pretty interesting race. That area without guardrails and a boost pad, the Black Bull and Blood Hawk fell off at the exact same time. The rest of the race was okay and the end was stressful. I was almost there and then I was passed by the Sonic Phantom. I was gonna reset, but I un paused, kept going, and I won. In your face GX!!!
The same happened to me on the first lap. Blood Hawk and Black Bull both just veered off the track. I thought I was golden for the rest of the race. Unfortunately Sonic Phantom passed me just at the end
Yeah right now I’m trying to complete this and I am banking on those two cheaters to yeet each other off the map, it’s not common, but it does happen from time to time...
Sonic Phantom, Red Gazelle, and Death Anchor are all extremely bad about stealing victory away when you think your safe due to how powerful their cars boost, and they hammer it on the final stretch. They will win unless you already have a good lead on them since Blue Falcon doesn't have the extreme boost power to compete with them.
I beat this too and found out AI has unlimited boost and it doesnt matter how far ahead you are in this they will always catch you so i just saved my boost to stay top 5 then unloaded towards the end.
1 side attack on Bull: smooth 2 side attacks on Bull: galaxy brain Youre a simple but dam good genius. Sniped Blood Lap 3, Lap 5 CPU had lot of distance closing in mashing boost. Youre a genius
This and chapter 5 on very hard were the very worst things I’ve ever went through in a racing. It took me hours and hours to beat those demonish chapters
ChiefMedicPururu actually I had more problems dealing with chapter 5 in VH when driving as fast as I can and at the same time keeping control of the ship. Ch7 is the same, control of the direction without drifting too much
it's been just this one....I will come back one day and finally beat this...then use pink spider to earn a master cup victory. And once that is done...I'll have 100% this game.
I think anyone who has tried this would say its easily top 3 hardest thing in a video game, its brutal, bayonetta rodin is pretty close as well, that shit was hard af, people who say souls games are hard havent tried this lol

There were a few races where both Black Shadow and Blood Falcon were out, but I keep finding a way to mess up! I swear it’s frustrating! Edit: I’VE FINALLY BEATED IT!! Holy crap this took me a few days to beat! I wish everyone who is on this mission good luck.

Is the music synced so that when you finish the first lap the chorus starts? It sounds so satisfying when the **BOOSTER OK!!**, "You Got Booster!!", and the guitar starts at the same time.
No actually, the only adaptive part of the music is how it switches to a new part of the song at the final lap. However, on this track and on Lightning loop cross the drops are almost always timed to when you start the second lap and get boost, and I have a feeling they were intentionally composed like that
@@larsu-gx579 Other examples I can think of are Port Town and Fire Field. Fire Field's case is different though, as in Cylinder Knot you usually hit the first boost pad right as the music gets going

It wasn't until I bought a second hand gamecube in 2015-16 that I came back to it. I struggled hardcore. About a year later, I beat this! The feeling was so so satisfying. Since then I've taken a break and now I am rusty trying to beat Deathborn lol THIS GAME IS HELL BUT SATISFYING AF edit: I beat the game in every other mode; I'm referring to very hard which is...well...very hard lol
How do you make that turn right after the bit with no walls? And how do you manage to avoid just getting knocked off the edge or finished off suddenly after using a lot of energy?
This was my wall. I could never beat this on very hard. I did the whole game but not this, and i could not progress. I'm sure I could have beat death borne and the phantom road but i couldn't do the gP. Nintendo, for once, you had a great game that had people beat! Now you're just doing disney mario crap but thats another topic for another time :)

Probably the hardest thing I've done in any game and I dont think I killed black shadow or blood falcon. Literally couldn't believe I beat it.

Yeah Black Shadow and Blood Falcon may head the top of the pack, they had double boost and double energy because, they cheat

It's because the player wiped him out right at the beginning of the race.
Today I joined the small group of racers who won this chapter on very hard (same method as yours) and I know how hard it is. Practice makes perfect :)
