Beryl Helene and Milton will definitely be retired I think that’s all beryl wasn’t even that bad in Houston I remember being in it but it did bad damage to the Caribbean islands
I can guarantee you that Helene and Milton will be retired. I live in Tampa Bay, we got lucky with Milton, had it of direct hit Clearwater Beach instead of Siesta Key it would have caused over 500 Billion in damages, and had it of done that and not dropped to a Mid Cat 3 from a high end Cat 5 you would be seeing Milton with over 1 TRILLION USD in damages.
The path shown for Hurricane Diana is from Hurricane Diana in 1984 that formed east of Florida and eventually affected North Carolina. That is not the Diana that was retired however. Hurricane Diana in 1990, came ashore in Mexico and that is the one that was retired.
I've experienced 3, but only know most about 1, Beryl. I'm in Texas, so luckily it was just a category 1, but it still did some damage, our house lost power for 11 days, (meaning I had to stay at my grand aunt's house), almost all buildings were closed, and there were down trees and fence here and there, though sorry for others that had even worse damages (fully destroyed homes, deaths, injuries, etc)
Debby’s not getting retired. If Sally, Isaias, and Idalia weren’t retired, then Debby definitely isn’t, especially with it being overshadowed be Helene.
If I had to estimate, here are the chances I think of each name getting retired: Helene 100% obviously Milton 100% obviously Beryl 99% 70+ deaths and earliest cat 5 Debby 35% high damage Francine 5% Oscar 5%
@@Skiliet_YT01it did add crisis to an already existing problem in Cuba (They had a failed power outages and Hurricane Oscar made it worse) but giving the fact that it only did 10 million dollars in damages and 7 fatalities it’s understandable

These are the ones that I have personally experienced: Hurricane Alicia - The area were I live had several days of rains before Alicia hit. The ground was saturated and trees and power poles went down easily. There was a convenience store on Alexander Drive that had its roof taken off by a tornado. Tropical Storm Allison - The only tropical storm to have its name retired. Lots of rain. Lots and lots of rain. Houston and its surrounding areas were heavily flooded. Hurricane Rita - I lost 1/3 of my roof in this one. Hurricane Ike - An absolute monster in terms of size and storm surge. The Strand, in Galveston, was several feet underwater. I have seen minor flooding there before, but not like this. Hurricane Harvey - Absolutely destroyed Rock Port. The people there are still rebuilding and doing repairs. The torrential rains lasted for days and there was wide spread flooding all along the coast line to Louisiana. Hurricane Beryl - This was not an overly impressive storm, hitting as a CAT1, but I have not seen winds this strong and sustained during a CAT1 hurricane. It was still intensifying as it came ashore and it did not weaken quickly because of this.
unpopular opinion they should start unretiring names, specifically after like a century. and also storms i which those damages would fly today, storms like Edna and Elena, Klaus would 100% fly today with those damages.

Dude what kind of English is that? Proper title should be Every hurricane name that has been retired Every hurricane that got retired sounds like a drop out😅
The reason they retire hurricane names is because of how destructive it is even if it doesn’t directly affect the US. Imagine the PTSD some people would’ve felt if life altering hurricanes didn’t get retired and 7 years later it was barreling towards them again😊
I’m kinda thinking Hurricane Sally from 2020 should be retired. It was the first hurricane to make landfall in Alabama in 16 years, Ivan in 2004 being the last one. Sally was a high end cat 2 (110 with gust 125) and cause a lot of damage to coastal Alabama. It was also the 3rd most costliest storm in the 2020 hurricane season. I was directly hit by Sally by the way, it was pretty bad. It was moving a whopping 2 mph when it made landfall. Had 100 mph winds for like 2 hours straight or more and dropped a whole lot of rain.
First I want to say 2020 season’s retirement was discussed with 2019, but Sally was still worse. But that can still be a reason. They were discussing THIRTY-EIGHT names’ retirement, so they may get something wrong. I’m actually thinking about 2022. Of course Ian MUST be retired as it’s the costliest and deadliest storm in the season, but the second deadliest is Julia while the second costliest is Fiona. According to the 2020 experience(deadlier Iota retired instead of costlier Sally), I thought Julia would be retired. But the retired names are Ian and FIONA. What’s more, they’re just dealing with FOURTEEN names.
systems aren’t retired on strength but the amount of damage and loss of life it causes, there’s been fairly weak systems like stan in 2005 and erika in 2015 that have caused significant loss of life

Debby because it dealt almost the same damaged as Beryl as an Category 1
