being a Tibetan refugee born in India, I felt sad, emotional and happy after seeing the history of Tibet as once a free nation having good relations with India for centuries trading and having a good life. I heard from my grandparents and teachers of trading salt, wool etc with neighbouring countries by foot. most of these traders from Tibet are from western Tibet bordering Himalayan region and are most nomads going from one place to another with sheep, goats, yaks etc doing trading from Ngari prefecture areas of today's Tibet under Chinese rule. Thank you for this memorable documentary. May Tibet get freedom from China one day. Bharat Tibet friendship lives forever. Jai hind jai Tibet. #tibettv #tibetan
Heartfull thanks to you ...for sharing this to us i m a shauka johari guy i belong to this pious land of the planet n so much proud n i believe johari community has so much to offer to this mankind and society
Great documentary, Ma'am. Thanks for uploading it on TH-cam. It is an important historic testimony to Trans-Himalayan trade; many of those people appearing in this documentary were the last of a kind, and would likely have passed away by now. I came to know of your work while working as an anthropologist at ICIMOD, Kathmandu (2014-17), in the still ongoing Kailash Sacred Landscape Conservation and Development Initiative (KSLCDI). Best regards.
I am pangtey of milam. My father born in milam 1958 and since after 1962 they moved to munshyari 🙏 ITBP destroyed the homes by taking their ceiling wood for making bridges from various villages of Johar valley 😒
Such places are better without roads.. Darma, Byans, chaudas valley ka bura hal ho rakha hai.. Suvidha se jyada asuwida ho gyi hai.. Road kabi bhi itni kharab nhi hoti thi jitni road katne ke bad se hui hai.. Pedal marg kabi jyada kharab ni hote the.. Kharab hote bhi the toh kuch heera dino mai ban bhi jate the
