    Must have been beautiful all furnished. Can definitely say that the people were not afraid of color! The green room was the best colored room for me although I loved the size of the master bedroom and bathroom! The house had some really cool features, too bad it was left to be torn down.

      Ya, that green room was really cool, probably my favourite part of the house. Although other than that and the bathrooms, i found it lacking colour, a lot of beige...i guess I'm just not a fan of beige paint. 😆 Thanks for the comment!!

      This sort of thing is pretty common in this area these days. The original owners sold the home and the new buyers are only interested in it for the land so they can build something new and bigger. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the comment!!

    $6M for that?!* My favorite thing is the kitchen sink, and the vintage wall mirrors. The rest of it is bad. You're so right about the DIY "renos"! Happy New Years and all the best!

      Hi James
      This is a nice house. Too bad the owners didn’t know what they were doing as
      far as installing a floor. All those gaps, really. That large room with the big
      fireplace I think that chandelier we saw in the room with the green carpet
      most likely hung there. You can see something hung there. I like that large
      fireplace. The kitchen and the master bedroom were huge. Those bathroom
      faucets were really nice and different. You said in the beginning you didn’t
      know how much this house is worth but the description says $6,000.000.
      I don’t know why they would tear down such a beautiful house. I could live
      there and be happy. The basement wasn’t to creepy but that small crawl space
      was. This Static Space was a good explore James. Nice work. I want to say
      HAPPY NEW YEAR to you James and hope we see a lot more Static Spaces in
      2023. As always stay safe and well. 🎉🎊🥂❤️

    • @StaticSpaces
      @StaticSpaces  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The hall au in the master bedroom was a bit odd but i guess with he layout it had to be that way. The big fireplace was really cool, i agree. It sold for $4.5 about three years ago, so it has to be worth at least six now , maybe even more...it's crazy! Thanks for the comment and Happy New Year Irene!!

    Hi James! Happy New Year! This was an interesting place with all the retro decor. I don’t think I have ever seen patterned taps like those in one of the bathrooms and that “half-bath” was weird. I’ve seen those before and I just don’t understand the purpose of them 😂 Thanks for the video!

    That could be such a beautiful home with some professional renovation. Cool house, but shoddy remodel. The brick thing you're sitting on next to the fireplace, I think it's a built in TV stand.

    • @StaticSpaces
      @StaticSpaces  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh most definitely, it has great bones and could be lived in again but unfortunately the new owners will almost certainly demolish it. Oh that's a good point, a TV stand makes a lot of sense! Thanks for the comment!!

    Very very nice house, but you are correct, very odd. On one hand very well taken care of an clean, but then on the other very odd and poorly done updating. And even though the basement was plain, it was so clean. What a shame.

    I like that they didn't use a lot of beige. The plastic wrap on the air vents I do that. Ductwork has falling apart and has so many leaks then I switch to a wood stove and space heaters to eat it's half the price per month that way. And the spray foam around the door that's to keep the cold out and bugs. Adore that they weren't opening or using. An interior painting people do that themselves I don't always hire a professional. Just cuz of Home costs a lot doesn't mean you can always afford to pay people to come out and work on it you got to pay the bills to live in the place and sometimes you need to just do the things yourself. The bathtubs house I grew up in had those same bathtubs and that was a million dollar home and it's still being lived in today they didn't tear it down or rip things out just because it got old the quality was better back in the day than the current stuff they're producing that's all coming from China. Home I grew up in nothing inside the place was made in China. Only the light fixtures I installed in it when I sold it to move out I wanted to keep the light fixture so I put all the cheap Chinese ones in the house people end up going hey we want a better life fixture than this.

    • @StaticSpaces
      @StaticSpaces  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ya, i get the reasoning behind DIY renovations but when you live in a $6 million house it is very surprising to see. I can see heating your house with wood as being cheaper but using space heaters is the most expensive form of heating, maybe they didn't get used that much I'm not sure. Guess it also depends on the electricity costs in your area, i know they are every high here and it's cost prohibitive. Thanks for the comment!!
