Interesting new film review, of Mad God. Matt. I actually do agree with you. I did really like the film's animation style upto a point. then midway through I started to find it boring.
I followed the production of Mad God for years and waited in anticipation, then was disappointed that the movie didn't have a traditional narrative structure
I saw it in he theater. It felt like a pretentious student film from the 80s. Tippett is the master of animation and action, not narrative. One to checkout is The Secret Adventures of Tom Thumb (1993).
I didn't find it boring. Morbidly fascinating. Then again, I was under chemical influences.

Never seen this one. What a bummer it dont have a dialogue. I will have to watch it and see if I am able to make it thru the entire film.

I thought it was going to be about that zombie lookin Slimer.
I was super into it but then I lost interest.
Phenomenal artistry sabotaged by pretentious, nonsensical storytelling.
