As a woman living in NZ, I was shocked by the actions on Saturday. The NZ Government and Police are being slow to apologise for what happened. It's all gone quiet at the moment as the main news is all about a disgraced Labour MP. Thankfully though we have Sean Plunket from the Platform, Free Speech Union, and some other groups that are keeping the narrative going and in the news. The mainstream media here do have a lot to answer for as well. Thank you, Kellie- Jay for opening our eyes, and to you Birdy for this excellent view of what went down.🙏🙏💖💖
I was at the Sydney Let Women Speak event. There were more coppers holding the tras away from us. Watching the other events, it seemed that the tras got louder and closer to the speakers with each event, culminating in that shitfight in Auckland. One Liberal MP - Moria Deeming - in Melbourne who attended KJK’s event has been suspended by her party! For attending a rally! She was accused of being a Nazi - a woman raised by her Jewish uncle, a woman with Māori ancestry…. Suspended for 9 months. They tried to kick her out of the party, but failed.

This nazi bs is starting to boil my piss honestly. Furthermore if there were real nazi's involved the situation would have looked very much different I feel. And he supposedly thought he should withdraw his support of letting women speak events because of this. It's exactly the same as what happened to Voldemort aka Tommy R (I won't bother saying his name for risk of my comment being removed. I wanted to attend the Sydney Rally, but when Kellie Jay said the night before, "ladies bring 5 friends and stay together", well I freaked out. Firstly, I don't have 5 friends 😆 and certainly no one who thinks like me!!! But watching the Sydney event I was so proud of our police and wished I had attended. 😟

I am a NZ woman and this is disheartening. Last week I was advised by the IoD I needed to be more 'inclusive' of LGBTQA+ individuals when I objected to the inclusion of terminology that said woman on boards included 'people who identify as female'. The pressure to conform and agress to this ideology is subtle and it starts with language and peer pressure, isolating woman who object by labels of transphobic etcetera. You hit the mark on every single point in your video. I am embarrassed for my country. I am sad that we are losing our voice and it saddens me even more that there are woman who support this promotion of men into our spaces at the expense of woman.
You can be sure we will be voting this useless waste of space out come October.

I’m 58 and would’ve gone to listen to Kellie Jay Keen but I wasn’t aware of the event as I’m not on social media. She brings me hope that (for my children’s sake and ALL children) we’ll eventually restore sanity in this upside down world we’re currently living in.

Good points, i saw another comment that said "how come trans women are women but cis women are only allowed to be cis women" that's one of the reasons i agree with Kellie that by using their language you are not being polite, you are conceding to the idea that men can be women, she get's flack from some "feminists" for this approach but she's correct that taking away the language is the first step to taking away the rights (not sure that she would say it quite like that but my interpretation)

The new zealand prime minister is on video saying if he'd gone he'd have supported the trans. The older lady is reported to have gotten a broken eye socket. I'm not a fan of big crowds in the first place and I have never been in a situation like that. I can't imagine how terrifying that must have been for her. How did we get to the point where MEN not just screaming that they want to hurt or even k*ll a woman, but actively trying to do so is "stunning and brave" rather than universally condemned? 😳
The worst of it is that members of parliament were at the 'protest' helping to organise and fuel it. The media helped to cause it and had zero remorse.

I agree with you about being optimistic. I remember a post of yours on twitter where you wondered how many women peaked because of a sober reflection on the objective evidence v how many peaked because their old trauma was triggered by seeing the abusive TRA tactics. I think the footage from Auckland will have done that for a huge number of people (women and men) and I think there might be a bit of a lull (in terms of public pushback) while the reality sinks in. But I think we'll look back on this as a watershed moment and a massive turning point. They're sowing the seeds of their own destruction, they can never unring this bell. But I also think they're still too drunk on the illusion of their own power to realise it yet. Great video, cheers Birdie 👍
