One of my dream places. It’s been years that i’m planning to visit Europe but always being cancelled. I booked a flight next spring, and after seeing this video, there’s nothing that could ever stop me on my goal. Thank you for this video. Europe is amazing. 😭❤
My hubby is from Belgium and he is very proud of Belgian foods. When he lands in Belgium, the first things he will eat are the Fries and Brochettes...and beer, of course! And a good Filet Americain inside a good baguette. I am hungry just thinking about it!
I was in Belgium and stayed for two months. I was impressed with the culture of the city and the state in general and the architectural designs in Belgium considered it the most beautiful in Europe and the Belgian people are very nice and I hope to visit again and finally the potatoes in Brussels restaurants are very delicious I miss it
Hi! Loved this video! Really good to see a guide video made by someone who really knows the place. Now I'm sure I'll have the best time in Brussels next month!
I love it ❤ and also the coincidences. When I first saw your fabulous videos I was going to Rome and Florence. This time I’m going to Brussels and your fabulous recommendations are top notch. Thank you Lidiia ❤❤❤
I just came back from a Europe trip where I stopped for some days in Bruges, Ghent and Brussels. I had some GREEEEEAAAAAT food! I LOVED the "stoofvlees" which is the beef stew, but it was served with fries, not mashed.... probably my favorite food in ALL of Europe, for me anyway. I wish I had seen your video. So much I missed!!!!!!
Places I enjoy eating at in Brussels: - L'Intermezzo, if I want to have pasta - Gatsu Gatsu, for a quick noodle fry - Bia Mara, a Fish & Chips place where I go to eat their spicy Cajun Chicken (as I don't like fish) - Le Conteur, for some really delicious middle eastern food - My favorite place for fries is Fritland - As an alternative to Waffles, visit Maison des Crêpes - Or try Lilicup for some cupcakes - Try Feux de Bengale if you're craving Indian food - Yaki, near Sainte-Catherine has the best Panaeng curry - And finally if you'd like to try some really good horse steak, take a 10 minute train ride to Vilvoorde and visit "De Kuiper". It's the only thing they serve Happy to see you enjoyed your time with us though.
Awesome video guys! It’s really well made we just came across your channel and definitely subscribed. Loved the narration/voiceovers, very well worded and entertaining.
Congratulations for your veterans Day today Belgium Its very important to honor them Wish all belgian people only the best for the future from your friends in Germany
Will be to brussels for on layovers (there and back again) on my next Shanghai trip. This video was incredibly helpful on where to go for food and drinks. Thanks a lot.
C'est incroyable comme tu valorises cette ville qui estd'habitude plutôt dévalorisée. Tu fais du super boulot, tes vidéos sont magnifiques🌍 . Surtout continue 🌠...
Nice video. Very informative. I’ll be heading there in December for a few days as part of my 10-day EuroStar trip from London>Brussels>Cologne and Amsterdam. Will visit some of these places highlighted here.
I have watched dozens of Brussels' food vlogs...and this one is the best!!!!! You have to tell me your secret though. No other vlogger got it right like you do. You seem to have found (mostly) all great places to eat. You missed one or two but then they are places that many Belgians want to keep non-touristy ☺. Anyway, great job!!! Maybe you should contact the Brussels tourist board. They should pay you for making such a wonderful overview of the foods to eat when in Brussels.
Belgium is a fascinating country. Super dense and urban yet still possessing a lot of natural and man made beauty. Brussels is an odd and unique place. It reminds me of Berlin, it feels more like several different cities stuck together. The shots from this video are mostly from the Grand Place/Grote Markt , which is grand and imperial but there are ultra modern parts of the city, like where the Berlaymont is. As well as working class and brutalist areas too. Areas like Schaarbeek and Molenbeek were once very posh but now are populated with working class Arab immigrants, who give the area its own flavour too. Its like every district of Brussels is its own city. In Schaarbeek, where my ex lived, it seemed like every house was a different style. Her mum was Moroccan, and directed me to all the fascinating markets and shops run by Belgian Arabs. As a native of Scotland, I was overwhelmed by the colour and spices! I used to date a native of the city who I met in Glasgow so I visited quite a bit in past. I was there for at least 4 months once. Its a brilliant city bursting with life. A lot of people I have met say negative things about Brussels, saying Belgium as a whole is urban and boring but I found it a brilliant city, filled with diversity and culture. The immigrant parts, the posh parts, the imperial parts, all contributed to the uniqueness of the city. Also some of the best food in the world is Belgian! You cannot lose! If you are in a poor area, you eat from the absolutely brilliant Congolese or Arabic takeaways. If you are in the posh bits you get steak, moule et frite, chocolate fountains, blue cheese, waffles and all kinds of Belgian bliss! Not to mention the beer and coffee..... Ooooft. Sorry for the rando comment! Just love that city. Continue doing what you do Belgium. I love it! Definitively visit Belgium if you get a chance. Its well worth it!
Damso, Henri PFR, Lost Frequencies, Kid Noize, Puggy, Mustii, Lara Fabian, Jacques Brel, Lio, Saule, Maurane, Loic Nottet, Alice on the roof, Hooverphonic, François Damiens,...
As a Brussels resident let me say that Tonton Garby is a terrible place with only tourists as customers. If you want good sandwiches there are plenty of places but a standout is Catherine a cheese and cold cuts store that also does sandwiches. The cheese is perfectly aged (as opposed to Garby's garbage) and the bread is outstanding. For fries forget your choices. instead go to Patatak with home made sauces, or the fry stand on Place Saint-Josse or the two Tabora stands. And for beer there are so many more pleasant places to try the hundres of Belgian beers than the Delirium mess.
Tabora is a tourist trap, and Patatak wasn't the best either. I'd say Friterie Chouke or Chapelle if they have a good day. Most friteries are gone, escargots stands are completely gone. A shame.
