The rules on overtaking another boat: ■ If you intend to pass a slower vessel, try to hail them on your VHF radio to let them know you are coming. ■ In close quarters, BOTH vessels should slow down, which normally allows the faster vessel to pass quickly without throwing a large wake onto the slower boat. ■ A boat passing another is the "give-way" vessel and is required to keep clear of the slower "stand-on" vessel until past and well clear of it. ■ Sound signals when overtaking (both vessels heading the same way): "See you on the one (whistle)" = overtake on his starboard (your port) "See you on the two (whistle)" = overtake on his port (your starboard) ■ Sound signals when passing (vessels going in opposite directions): "See you on the one (whistle)" = pass port to port. "See you on the two (whistle)" = pass starboard to starboard. ■ As you pass a slower boat, take a look back to see how they were affected by your wake. Remember: YOU are responsible for your wake. It is the law to slow down and it is common courtesy. Did the guy signal? no. Did the guy mind his wake? also no.should a ticket have been written? Not an LEO, so not sure.
If you compare the Albury Brothers (0:56) boat to the Jupiter (at 2:06), the captain of the Alburty Brothers used speed control, trim and steering, to keep the bow from stuffing in seriously difficult conditions for a boat of that size. The Jupiter captain used neither trim, speed control nor steering to avoid stuffing it in typical and moderate waves. There was an skill level difference shown here, I hope we recognize it. This statement is not to put down a captain, but to identify what to aim for if and when we operate vessels in difficult conditions. There are many questions on channels like this about "what should he have done" and this video shows "do it like this" if and when you can. Good luck out there.
3:25 If it is a Key West Twin Yamaha 115, isn't it supposed to have two engines? Blue Top girls always worry me that they aren't wearing the kill switch lanyard, but I think I saw it attached the thong.
I can't believe how many people take small boats out in big waves without wearing life jackets. Everyone wears a life jacket in my boats, at all times, even in a lake.
Is it just the skipper or are some boats just not suitable for this area? Went to alaska several decades ago and found there are snow machines and snow machines. Some light weight fast machines for packed trails and some low geared heavier ones for real back country. I come from a country with limited snow cover and very few snow machines. I assume boats and yachts are the same. What don't you take into this area?
The rule is that any vessel overtaking another vessel must keep out of the way of the vessel being overtaken. Did he do that? Absolutely. A ticket would be absurd. Wakes? There are wakes in an inlet. There are very big wakes such as a big sport fisherman, etc. If your boat can't handle a wake in such an inlet, you have no business being there.
0:36 Was that move courteous, even if the captain’s in a rush? Feels like he’d be ticketed if the cops were around!
No, it was a dick move.

But he was wearing a huge gold chain, that makes it all ok...
5 knots max within 200 yards of shore, swimmer, or anchored vessel.
Long live the legend. Simply beautiful. No tats, just a squeaky clean beauty.

Try showing your tits with a life jacket on.
At 3.45 the unknown hull is a Ocean Master !
Nice to see some captians who know how to trim/tilt their boats to keep the bow up and out of the water...
I hope I am still around to see the evolution of women's swimwear by 2030.
Just a piece of dental floss
Deep cracks produce shallow minds, don't they?
Nope. Only dirty minds😂

Everybody has choices.
Why didn't we see more of the BTL. So short.
It is not illegal to pass like that. He passed on the correct side and I’ll give the benefit of the doubt as to whether or not he signaled properly.
These days boats just look like big bathtubs with outboards stuck on the back?
Cool car, I like spider in white color.😉👍💎
That might speak for all the ladies with their butt cheeks hangin’ out!
That fool that is dangerous and reckless at haulover inlet.
Stop. She has no game.

Probably is illegal but He probably doesn't care & probably will easily pay any fine if one is given which it probably won't.
Blue Top Legend? More like No Top Legend…..
Boats getting thrashed wave runners having fun.
