Thats cool.. we have a security camera so I can see it from my phone.. my wife is afraid we would (butt dial) the app and melt the kiln.. beats stocking a wood fired kiln for days..

I have just set up my Skutt with the touch screen controller. The directions state to prop the lid until the temps reach 1000deg Fahrenheit. Did you do this?
Can you program it from your phone and does it alert you if there is a power fluctuation? I spent 9 hours watching my kiln because the power had been flaky all day and couldn’t leave it so mobile alerts would have been awesome 😎

Hi Jon! I’ve watched this video about a million times and I’m currently looking into getting myself a newer and better kiln than my kiln sitter. What kiln is this? I’m looking into the Skutt KM 1027-3 and wanted to know if this was a comparable size?

I have a Euclid and it's my first: a 'baby kiln'. My next kiln will DEF have the touchscreen since I am obsessed with checking the temperature! Wow, that's a fancy controller. I knew they made some, that connected to wifi, but I think this is the firsr I have seen that was all touchscreen. I'm with you on the cold. We got pretty much, what you got. Three to four days and nights of below zero temps. I'm over Winter.
Makes me want one. I personally wait to pull the plastic off of electronics that will be exposed to wet or erosive things and scratches until I have a screen protector for them. Love your videos!

Robert Cole believe it or not skutt is actually only playing catch up with leading kiln companies such as L&L which hold patents on their kilns.
