I think this tournament is flawed all together. It's on an existing server with max level people, and you can just trade whatever and boost people. That quite defeats the purpose of it all. It's not really a Mak'Gora tournament, it's just a "who can boost the fastest" or "who has more friends" type of thing.
I'm not so sure the existing server is really the problem (its also not like they have any solution for this, they cant just call up blizzard and say hey spin up a new server). I think the real problem is that any time you put really high stakes like this into anything people will find ways to optimize the hell out of it and that generally removes a lot of the fun factor especially since HC was kind of supposed to be the opposite of this where the fun is in the journey. I personally think the best solution would be to wait for blizzard to implement the SSF mode they promised before running the tournament. Anyways though the tourney should still be a fun watch as its always fun to watch people go head to head putting their all into something.
Well, I like to imagine it as an epic rpg event, where each guild raises their champion to fight in a massive death-match tournament. Winner takes it (nearly) all 😅😊 and it will be a part of wow-history, so the community kind of creates their own lore. Imagine, if there would be a statue of the winner somewhere in the next expansion 😂 Anyways, how would you guys even boost faster when leveling? Watching this kind of make me think: how fast would it be to have people bringing you quests via sharing and warlocks porting you around to hand them in and go to the next zones. I really wonder if this was a speed leveling tournament, what would people come up with?
First thing I do every morning is tune into Gole and your adventures, something about the story telling, the viewers showing up out of nowhere with a message, side quest, gifts and death rolls. all The help you get takes me back to the old wow days where everyone was there to help and made the game what I loved. Keep up the good work!
There are already entitled takes in the comments lmao, truly the cavemen of classic WoW shining through. Just take your well deserved rest man, the ones who truly care about "team Guzu" will care about you first instead of pixels and items.
yea, there's some sayin ''he wouldn't win anyways'' ''he wouldn't even last'' ''disappointing'' ''i feel so bad for the ppl that gave him stuff'' like jeez bro it's his decision, let him do his choices, bro has a life, has a girlfriend (i guess) and has tons of stuff to do
Yes dude, you have a good thing going here; make the choice to keep yourself healthy, having fun and growing your channel. Nobody will remember if you get 1st or last in a silly PVP tournament if you end up having to quit for a month after from burnout. Sub count is slowly growing bro! Keep going!
Guzu, i continue to love your philosophy and content more and more. The only thing that makes me sad is that you won't be on skull rock anymore. I was hoping to tank some dungeons for you. Much love
You are one of my favourite content creators, ever since i found you on my feed years ago ive watched your videos eagerly and jumped in stream from time to time when its possible (working night hours and being on the other side of the planet - Aussie land - doesnt help with the timing). While I am excited at this tournament from watching Makgoras, I find that the process has a flaw to it that makes me less interested in watching the levelling process. The fact it feels very biased to streamers and that they have an advantage over any other that enter that don't get the same level of support feels sketch to me I wish you good health and I support your decision, and I love the ways you've grown your content. The last few, the staff warrior and the blasting Avenger, have been very enjoyable to watch. Have a good one Guzu, and keep being amazing!
I'm honestly really happy you decided to prioritize your health rather than hyperfocus on a tournament, it makes me really happy you're my favorite streamer/TH-camr, would love to see some variety content from you as well!
I am happy Guzu made this choice. I just started following him on Twitch and TH-cam and I enjoy more the usual content he brings. Like I'm really apposionate about the Gole saga now. I want it to continue, I would have probably not followed the Tournament journey
Kinda glad to see him deciding to quit it, seemed pretty unfair overall how he was getting funnelled gold and gear while also being carried the whole way.
I've stopped playing games now (to save time and dopamine ups/downs), now watching you is one of the few things I enjoy indulging in games. I would love to see some variety playthroughs! All the games you mentioned (especially Skyrim and Oblivion, Dark Souls etc...). I also feel, WoW classic has run its course, though quality content is still being made, and people are still undoubtedly trapped on WoW due to time spent (me no longer), it's time for us to move on FR FR. Keen to see you out there bro
I mean I was sad af when you said you're not playing on Gole for a whole month because of the tournament. I'm happy you're going back on that idea. Might just be me not being a pvp fan and enjoying the leveling content, but you got my support, bro. Keep putting out great content.
I saw you running around and I thought someone had made a meme account with your name! (it was before i knew about the mak'gora challenge on our server) lol damn. Skull Rock is a great Horde server. Great community. I hope you come back and visit us again.
Things like this honestly need to be sponsored by Blizzard directly. A specific new server dedicated to the tournament. Rules on the server can be different than main. It would be so easy to implement but then they may have to be the ones putting up the tournament money?
21:15 The tournament is on a North America server and the clock is for some time zone from North America as well, right? Guzu is in Denmark, so isn't it rather 5:22 a.m. then 11:22 p.m.for him?
The best content you make is the content that you wouldn't be able to make if you let yourself burn out. If you are able to have a healthy pace and enjoy what you are doing, you'll end up doing it for longer and having more by the time you get to the finish line. Consider a possibility of having a side character that you play only to collab with some other streamer friend for shared content, sharing the burden of activity and decision-making might make it vastly different from solo content and make you feel refreshed.
Overall as others have said the best thing is to take care of yourself. That said I think you got in your own head. It’s hard to relate to burning out after 1 day, especially with all of the help and support you got from your community. As others have said, the sweaty nature of it seemed entirely self imposed since 24 days is a long time.
Very good decision. Mental wellbeing comes first, after all this is just a game, even if its your job. No point in making yourself suffer if you well know that we will love your Gole content just as much if not more.
A quick question to any kind soul who knows their gaming songs. What is the song at ~ 1:32 - is it the same like the one in 2:48? Which game are these tunes from?
Don't worry Guzu, things can be denied and can be gaven up no matter what they say, i'm looking forward for all the content you have on you and I love all you'r videos!
He quit cause he couldn't catch the other streamers who started before him, and most likely felt he wouldn't be able to win the tournament in the end and felt he would have wasted all that time for no money, fair reason to quit honestly.
A good decision. It's going to be an extremely unhealthy road for all those participating in this tournament, and for pretty much nothing. The fact it's HC makes it so much worse too because dying while leveling is a massive setback, leading to them having to put more hours into playing in such a short period of time.
the tourny is a nice idea but imo it should be ssf, the tourny was put on the other realm so that people couldnt just get the help from their mains on the main realm with sending over gold gear consumes ect but then you see that gear and enchants and everything is handed out anyways then the help from mob tagging honestly shouldve just kept the tourny on the main realm with people who are already lvl 60. I hope people can get some fun out of the tourny but seeing the mob tags for faster exp you can tell that some players will have a major advantage over others.. goodluck to everyone in the tourny and please dont overdo yourselves!
It is the right decision if you do what you like even if you lose viewers you do not lose the most important thing which is motivation to continue streaming and in the long term that will always be the most comforting thing ❤
I watched you for the fooling evers yesterday. You might go to doing it said but I love your regular content so it's not like we're going to be losing anything. Keep doing you
Very happy to see you make this decision. This is what they call growth. Halloween season horror variety games are much better than watching you spiral into a sad mess playing wow feverishly for the millionth time all for a tournament that is 100% guaranteed to be ruined by some degenerates. There is too much money here to not be a mess and not enough money to change anything in the long run. Good call.
This tourney is just an excuse for viewers to play, but we all know this is a streamer tournament. It's like saying we're running a marathon, and then the race starts and a few people jump into an uber.
Nice! Rly aporeciate your decision. Woulve loved to see u compeed and win yet another tourney but heslth is everything. Can u play snother trollrogue after/with gole? Love the trollrogue.
id like to see variety. i like to watch your wow content and I used to be a hardcore wow player classic and retail but i quit a while ago. I just like watching guz man in general and think other games could be fun to watch as well!
Good for you making the choice for enjoyment/health. IMO the idea of spending 24 days grinding classic 16hrs a day sounds absolutely horrific & even if you guaranteed 100k I wouldnt do it. I was really enjoying the Gole leveling so im glad to hear you are going back to that.
im 10 min and yeah drop from the tourny. just look at how you are going through having others do the work. the only way to have a chance in the tourney is to be carried all the way through pre bis gear. the regular gamer who grinds his way through solo has no chance
As someone who is not taking part in the tournament because I'm *not* a streamer with tons of followers and fans who would give me stuff for free, I appreciate you dropping out. Frankly, this whole tournament is a sham, anyone who's just a regular guy stands no chance against the power of a streamer with a die-hard audience.
Guzu please continue the tournament i loved savix and u grind to r14 it was so fun to watch and now hc i find pvp is more hyped but do what u like best :D
Good. The event is going to feel pretty hollow anyway. Most of the duels just won't be entertaining enough to justify the effort, so the prize money becomes the only real attraction.
I think this tournament is flawed all together. It's on an existing server with max level people, and you can just trade whatever and boost people. That quite defeats the purpose of it all. It's not really a Mak'Gora tournament, it's just a "who can boost the fastest" or "who has more friends" type of thing.
Facts bruh
Not even friends. "What streamer can get more people to help"
Every otk event is scuffed

You quit so you could spend more time with the future Mrs. Guzu. Kudos to you, sir.
Danish people then: Let me sail on this row boat for 4 months and cross the sea to raid England
Danish people now:
There is absolutely nothing wrong with quitting to have fun. Don’t let the negative comments bring you down, you have to do what’s best for you!

lord guzu giving everyone else a chance because it was a 100% W if he played in the tourney
Props to you Guzu, couldnt have been an easy decision. We still love you.
I agree with your decision... it's better to quit now rather than watching you get distracted later, jump into a hole and die randomly.
Mental health > anything, as long as you are ok with your decision then there should be no problem gugu, keep up the good work!
Best disicion you ever made Guzu. Fully unterstand and good to have you back on Gole!

Also "Shout-out to Live Jasmine!" I lol'd a bit here....
My bad on that one LOL, realized it after
Much respect for dropping out, always value yourself first.
Good call Guzu. Mental health always comes first. And these things are meant for fun, so just do what you think is fun, most of us will follow! 😁
You are the best HC content creator and streamer. You are doing this the right way and this was the right decision.
Bro you are so right to do so, keep the good content and vibes up
I am happy Guzu made this choice. I just started following him on Twitch and TH-cam and I enjoy more the usual content he brings. Like I'm really apposionate about the Gole saga now. I want it to continue, I would have probably not followed the Tournament journey

Hopefully we get that SSF mode soon
If you can use any item isn't alliance better for light of elune ?
If they implement SSF tourny starts and in one month whoever gets the most lucky drops wins?

healthy and relatable decision. thats why i follow you. because you are sane. keep it like that.

I watched yesterday and Guzu said he would take part and now there is a “why I quit video” I didn’t even know he had started
No worries mate, i can understand that there can be some fatigue.
much respect to you brother
Big brain move. We came for guzu content, not some leveling pvp action. Guzu RP is what we came for with a dash of unhinged unethical trading/gamba.
Do what you want dude keep your Content up

I kinda hate the idea of this much money being thrown around in these kind of tournaments. but it is what it is
Props to you Guzu for choosing what you really want to do! Now you have time to play Demons Souls and Lies of P haha
Good to hear bro, so much rmt and garbage in it, just chill and enjoy the process Gole is calling
why not just have people use the hardcore addon to verify that there was no help?
This doesn't surprise me. Can't milk money when you're dead on the first duel

Exactly all the steamers have capped players helping them out…the average gamer don’t stand a chance
Breh that tourney is mad sweaty and dishonorable

i applaud your decision to prio your mental health :) must feel quite bad for the people who helped with their time and or gold/items tho ... :/
Good. The event is going to feel pretty hollow anyway. Most of the duels just won't be entertaining enough to justify the effort, so the prize money becomes the only real attraction.
