Hi Lauren, I was introduced to making apple pie when I married my husband. My mother in law taught me how to make it and now we make it together .It is part of a tradition for me to make apple pie and serve it with some vanilla ice cream, the best! I always make my own wreaths because it represent the beginning of the season for each year. I change them each year. I love decorating for the fall because this is the kickoff to the holidays. Happy fall.

Apple pie has always been a tradition in our family ... but recently apple crisp has become the new favorite! It has actually replaced the cake at some birthdays! Your ombre pie is beautiful!

Hi! My Mama always made apple pie actually any time of the year. My family are farmers. My Daddy went to Heaven a couple years ago, but before he passed he had gotten dementia and he always talked about farming and dreamed he was in his John Deere tractor all night! 💤🥰 Needless to say I married a farmer and our 2 granddaughters love riding in the tractor with him! great video🧡🍂🍎🍁♥️

My first memory of a wreath being hung was… My Great Grandmother would always hang a plan Wheat Wreath on her door. She said her dad was a wheat farmer and every year her mom would hang one so the guys in town knew where to find work. My Grandmother said her dad would find a job for every man who showed up on his door step. I have always hung my wreath with pride since knowing what it means to our family.

Apple pie is a request from friends and family every thanksgiving! I cut out by hand the leaves and lay around edge and center of pie ! Turns out so pretty ! But I may have to change it up this coming year and try yours ! So beautiful!

Loved this video! Apple pie was a family tradition--and no time was ever the wrong time for my Dad to eat apple pie! He actually liked his mother-in-law's pie best (and probably shouldn't have admitted this in my mother's hearing!!!) because Grandma diced the apples and the pie was stuffed with the goodness.
My husband loves apple pie and apple cobbler--so I always make it a point to bake it for him in the fall! Tomorrow I am making apple cinnamon scones for our breakfast!
By the way, the wreath you arranged is super pretty! I change out the wreath on my front door every month--right now it has saffron yellows, burnt oranges, and rust reds for the beginning of autumn!

Thank you Sandra!!! Thank you for such a loving reminder ~ I usually do all of my videos ( 2 a week at most) when the kids are in class. They LOVE when I am filming and often times you can see them in my videos. When I did the chicken pot pies, they were actually on the other side of the island cutting out their own fun shapes. Some day I imagine they will watch some of these videos with their own kids and remember these special times. ❤️

Your apple wreath turned out so pretty. Looks great on the front door. The pie is so pretty! I always tend to make apple crisp. I think it's easier and I actually prefer it because I like the topping.

I grew up in a restored Colonial where everything was themed on the inside and outside to be historically accurate- my mom every Christmas would handmade a plaque of a pineapple to welcome and green magnolia leaves. It’s something that originated in Williamsburg VA if you’re familiar. It’s always pretty but not my particular style. I would buy one online! 😂

If you microwave the apple slices in a little bit of water for a few seconds it makes them easier to work with
I've never made a pie. I always thought a Sams club type was better than I could make. You inspired me to give it a try. I have made quiche so I know the crust part is easy. Your apple decor is gorgeous and makes me want to explore a new style. I love the bread bowl but may use cutting boards or a wood bowl I have for now. Also I would love to see your outfits!

Cook down two Apple with no sugar added applesauce, put this mixture in the bottom helps to keep the cut apples in place.

Love apple pie and this version looks delicious. I have fond memories of my grandmother making apple pies in the fall. I've never been good at baking, so I have not followed in the tradition. I am curious how you kept the sliced apples from turning brown until the pie crust was done browning.
I keep the apples tightly intact when I slice them so they dont turn brown. If you separate the slices they tend to brown quicker and they are harder to work with. If you do end up separating the slices, you can always add a little lemon juice to keep them from browning. SO happy you are here!

I know this may seem like a dumb question, but when you do the plates over decor like those leaf wreaths, do the leave the plate on them when they eat? I would worry about them getting food all in them, so I wasn't sure.
