Damn this was such an experience in the movies tho. To be honest, I really enjoyed the first one. Kinda weak on some areas but the places it was good at, it was really strong
I remember the one of movie's commentary was that they actually had to pretty much disect the vehicles, and makes each individual piece move around and go to a specific place as they transform. They amount of work they put in the transformers themselfs is, just insane.
Ok I wanna reply to this thread because recently news got out that the CGI department at marvel were basically overworked to death, causing cgi to look worse.
it was directed by michal bay, plus there were hundreds of under paid workers for the CGI way ahead of our time, its kind off sad how all these talents went to waste under paid for a 10x better performance than most people

Honestly, some of Optimus' kills in the movies would make really awesome glory kills in Doom. Like, imagine punching a Hell Knight's back, going all the way through to the chest and grabbing its heart along the way, then crushing it right in front of its eyes. Thats something Doomguy would do.
Ripping off a Demon's face would also be pretty Doomguy.
Or pulling out it's head so hard that even the the demons spine follows

Considering the fact that Bayformers Optimus Prime is more violent and aggressive than the rest of the incarnations, it almost seems fitting that Optimus would have a Doom-ish theme behind it.

@@Breakaway-ic5gj but he does want that freedom, but in order to obtain it he has what he has to do, freedom never once comes easy, afterall you can't expect to cook an omelette without breaking some eggs, Optimus here was a hero turned anti-hero, which actually made his character much more interesting and complex, he isn’t perfect nor flawless anymore, he doesn't have that stupid moral high ground that made him bland in my eyes (as to war is never about a very good vs a very bad, it's much more than just that) no he actually became a grey character, he wants to defend humanity (which later on will just backstab him) even if it means going against his own species brother and mentor and even to rethink his morals on AOE that brought him just pain and suffering...

Steve Jablonsky did a fantastic job in his own right, and his music captures a more grand and majestic feeling.
Mick Gordon would be an excellent choice for future movies, though.

This theme is absolutely perfect for The Wreckers.
What i like about the transformer movies, is that t his feels like a pair of factions that have warred for thousands of years. Don't get me wrong the cartoons anime and other stories are great, but you want to feel l ike these 2 groups have truly been at it endlessly for so long that noone can or cares to remember where it started? This is where you get that. You want a Prime that has seen so much loss that he will keep going untill the alarm clock of war is broken and he can finally sleep forever? This is where you get it.
True but imagine how much better these movies would be if they actually focused on the transformers, it already has great action it just needs good characters. I do disagree with the optimus in these movies because he is a little too violent at times like when he tears the fallen apart. Its a little too much imo

While I understand where you're coming from you have to remember Optimus is millions of years old. Hell in the cartoon the Autobots and Decepticons have landed on Earth during the era of the dinosaurs and proceeded to go into stasis.
@@zachbahamutson5477 Yes true and I understand that. In some situations like the forest battle it's necessary to protect Sam. But especially in 4 and 5 where he just seems always mad. An example is when he first meets quintessa he walks up saying he's gonna killer her without any hesitation.

My god now I know how brutal Transformers used to be
In reality, this would be for Ironhide. Decepticons were afraid of Ironhide because of how strong he was and the firepower he had until Sentinal came in and killed him. If you think about it, the Autobits won the forest battle after Prime died because of Ironhide. If they didn't have him, Starscream and Megatron could've taken Ratchet, Bumblebee, and Sideswipe down in minutes.
Now that I think about it, Michael Bay would probably be the best director for action scenes in a doom style movie.
