Idk if you already know about this fact and found it not interesting enough, but Lamar and Franklin voice actors Solo and Slink mentioned during Gamologys 1 million subs special where they react to GTA V scenes that instead of Stretch Franklin originally shot D during The Long Stretch mission. Not that important in the end but I think its a cool little info
@@Top_Weeb Wasn’t it confirmed on the radio that Floyd was killed by being shot (probably by Debra who was originally holding the gun) while Debra was stabbed to death (probably by Trevor after picking up the knife Floyd was initially holding to avenge him)?
Lamar's actor once said that Lamar was meant to have solo missions and a bigger role in the story, but he was "tied up" at some point and Rockstar had to keep on working without him, but they let him continue his role after he was free
Yeah that's true the original ending C/deathwish ending was going to see Franklin commit suicide. And then we would have gotten to play as Lamar who would replace Franklin in character select. Then we would play as Lamar and have this little revenge story were Lamar was going to get his revenge on Devin. That is also why Lamar is the only character in director mode (when you don't count the three main characters) who can actually have dialogue with families members and ballas members and other people with some families members even saying things like "what's up lamar". Lamar was going to be a main character but Lamar's voice actor got arrested. This meant they could no longer do that story and mission so they started to work on the ending C that we got. And when Slink (lamar's va) got released he instead played the diffrent role he got in the ending C we all know.

Another interesting thing to note is that in a video on Gameology, the voice actor of Franklin revealed that originally in The Long Stretch, Franklin was the one who used the gun to kill D but it changed to Stretch killing D.
I could swear that Lamar kills D in the original game. Stretch is cool with the Ballas, since you know he constantly sets Lamar and Franklin up for the Ballas to hustle them or kidnap/kill them. He got close to the ballas in prison and is now one of them or atleast very connected to them. Definetly Lamar.
Stretch killing D wouldn't make a lot of sense and could definitely be a later addition due to complications regarding Lamar's VA, as Stretch in the original plot was probably more like a Big Smoke-type double crosser and D was an OG of the Ballas
My theory for the Paleto score is that midway trough development, the story changed so much, that the heist wouldn't make sense to exist, but they kept it bc they knew it was too much of a big and impressive setpiece to dump
Kinda interesting that a few of these were done to make Michael less bloodthirsty. Michael is still a monster but I guess they wanted to make him seem more sane than Trevor at least. Although I would argue that Michael going out murdering and stealing and then trying to live the domestic life with his family, is still pretty insane. That insane part of Michael was never going anywhere though. Even if he hadn't pulled Madrazzo's house down, something else would have pulled him back into the game.
Not all adrenaline junkies are doing extreme sports. Some are doing extreme crime. However Michael always tried to avoid murder. In the Prologue he did not want to kill any security guards or cops but the cops forced his hand. He did not want to kill Laslo, the janitor and many more. A remnant of the original story behind "Legal Trouble" left in the game is that when switching to the Weazel News helicopter, one of the headlines reads, "Globalpol sting leads to car chase through Los Santos".
No thats actually the IMPLIED thing that happens in the final game, man, shot, woman stabbed (says it on weasel news) Like it says in the developer description of the mission the original plan had both be killed by trevor
The Agency Heist is still the name of the soundtrack of the Bureau Raid, I listen to the soundtrack enough that I often forget the mission's real name. Definitely suggests the name was changed late in development.
Yeah Monkey business makes no sense how they are like you need 6 people, like it could easily be done with 3. 2 people go into the place (hell, could be done even with 1 but let's say there's too many people for 1 guy, and it's gotta be 2, but no way 3 are NEEDED) and one flies the chopper and then Frank literally doesn't do anything, so any of the other guys could do his job after they deliver the stuff.
The capabilities of the player aren't canon to the abilities of the characters. Trevor is the only/best pilot so he was in the cargobob. Frank and Michael could have gone in shooting, but in Canon Frank is a driver, not meant to be a very good shooter, so he likely would have bee running logistics like we see him in the game. I think the extra people for the actual fight are because Michael canonically should have been hanging back during the fight (I'm pretty sure he has a line of ambient dialogue which goes, "I take one hit in the wrong place and we're all dead).
@@SidneySaturday I mean sure he's not some Deadshot, but by this point of the game he should be at least confident in shooting. Like sure his main skill is driving, but even in his story he gets in plenty of shootouts. And yeah as I mentioned purely gameplay wise it could have been done with 2 people total, but let's say that it's supposed to be too hard for just one to do the shottout lore wise and so we give them 2, making a total of 3.
GTA 5 is 10 years old and you still somehow find new and interesting things to make videos about. Rockstar should bundle these into bonus content when they re re re re release it for ps6.
My first play through I did the version of the Maryweather heist that uses a Cargo Bob. I always thought it weird that I had to rob a bank to buy a Cargo Bob when I already had one.
You know, in hindsight, Michael getting Trevor to help him Caida Libre, when he critcized Davey for doing this with the Mr. K mission earlier on AND knowing what Trevor can do, is one of the more stupid things the characters do in the plot. Considering what we know and see of Trevor, Michael getting him to help someone like Madrazo was just a baffling decision.
I think Micheal knew working for Madrazo would turn out badly and genuinely did want to protect Franklin. Trevor might be a terrifying psychopath, but so is Madrazo, and Trevor is OUR terrifying psychopath. Poor Mike didn't have a whole lot to work with. (plus for narrative reasons the game needed to coop Micheal and Trevor up together, and Michael being a smelly angry asshole in Sandy Shores is far more worth it imo)
Yeah, I see that. But I feel based on all Michael has said and seen of Trevor, it feels like a weird decision for him to make. It seems like he didn't even consider Trevor might do something crazy or if he did, he didn't take good enough steps to stop him.
@@commanderproton7763 I guess Michael thought that getting paid would pacify trevor. clearly he was right, since not getting paid made him kinda get a little angry
@@SidneySaturday IIRC, Michael didn't even know if Madrazo was gonna pay him or not, hence why he tells Trevor over the phone that if he doesn't, to let him handle it. It's certainly something he should've cleared first, I think. Who knows if that would've changed things. I feel like this mission overall feels like a contrived way to force Michael and Trevor out of Los Santos for a bit.

It was nice to kill him but its a very short mission, its quite similar to how Ryder was killed, as in you just shoot him in a driveby but with cars instead of boats etc.
@@SoAaron_ yeah exactly, they definitely ran out of time and just made this dumb mission, same with ryder, he was originally meant to play a different role in the story but there were some complications with the voice actor
only good part is the music
There's nothing we can do

It Is What It Is.
love that he didn't know who to put in the fourth slot in the thumbnail so he just put davey
At one point during development there was an Orgy involving people in their 60's. I can't remember the story but I know Michael turned up at their house and the scenes were wild. A true sight to behold
I remember hearing that on Vadim M's video
Ive noticed something that was taken away from normal gameplay thats in the newer versions of gta 5 and still on xbox 360 and probably ps3 versions, when I recently played gta 5 on the 360 i crashed into a vehicle driven by a NPC and the part of the vehicle i hit was the front tire and it came off and ive noticed that never happens in the newer versions of gta5
The content coming out recently from you has been really good and entertaining
They can’t keep getting away with it!!!
They can because we keep buying into their good old days dopamine, the decent company they were when we were all still in our youth...
I’m used to TH-camrs with very inconsistent upload schedules, maybe a week or two in between, Matt is spoiling me with these crazy upload speeds.
Glad to see all four protagonists in the thumbnail: Franklin, Michael, Trevor and Davey.
You should look up the game “The Corridor” it has a “Content creator” mode that adds a message to the creators that I think you would resonate with. I don’t want to spoil it but the game is story based like the Stanley Parable.
Getting on top of the container reminds me of the first mission in Saints Row 3, where the saints rob a bank vault and hang on top of it.
I've just done the Paleto score yesterday and it made even less sense for me, since Trevor had a Cargobob from the Merryweather score (option B makes you hijack one from Fort Zancudo)
20 miles actually makes sense as its roughly the length of a standard marathon.
Wow, you can tell that a lot of effort was put into this video, and the result is great, keep up the amazing job, Matt ❤
Day 844 of asking DarkviperAU to play GTA Chinatown Wars.
1:50 I can’t believe he would call the families “grove Street”
I wish these removed and altered missions were left in the game.
8:25 this version of the heist (at least the bit where u land the helicopter on the building) is part of the contracts update when u do the dr dre missions for the agency, so its kind of interesting that its called the agency heist
Even though I know a lot about GTA V's cut content. It was pleasantly surprising to find out some extra things. Keep up the good work.
Can you give me copy link of his secret videos on member exclusive
The only thing I wish Rockstar didn't removed was single player DLC
Jimmy getting forced to larp wouldve been funny
hey matt, hope you´re doing good.
Forgot to say that i love the YT content you make!
Honestly that jimmy mission would've been better if they kept the original
The original plans for the architect mission sound hilarious and would've made the mission that much more memorable.
5:58 I guess it was the weather
Underrated
The heist with the multiple banks and the sea escape would have been so fucking cool
Fleeca contract from tuners
A remnant of the original story behind "Legal Trouble" left in the game is that when switching to the Weazel News helicopter, one of the headlines reads, "Globalpol sting leads to car chase through Los Santos".
4:26 If you do both Devin's missions and then Mr. Richards, Madrazo calls him and Michael tells him that
50 days? heck, no, 10 days is already hell for me...
7:32 The deleted scene for Hang Ten showed Debra killing Floyd, and then Trevor would brutally beat Debra to death.
would like to know where you found this ''deleted scene'' from
@@welheizel9682 I looked up "Hang ten deleted scene" on TH-cam.
No thats actually the IMPLIED thing that happens in the final game, man, shot, woman stabbed (says it on weasel news)
Like it says in the developer description of the mission the original plan had both be killed by trevor
@@Damian-cilr2 At the time Trevor was unarmed, how could he kill both of them?
THANKS for the vid matto
8:55 I want to see a cutsence concept
I’ll never understand why rockstar gave grove street to the ballas and not even bother to explain why
4:00 “oh oh right ugh the helipad is on the roof” ….. well no shit where else would it be, in the basement? 😂
Wasn't there supposed to be a mission where we have to break into Martin's house?
Yes,where Michael and Trevor would act like a gay couple
I can't believe that all these years later he still calls that mission "Cada Libre".
Never forget what they took from you…
This intrigues me as I wonder how much content set for GTA6 was "cut" to be repurposed for GTA Online.
9:10 This is why in the game files another version of the blood splatter with the Translator's half face exists!
8:19 bro got mugged got save and got mugged again 💀
Nah but the clip before it 💀
The Agency Heist is still the name of the soundtrack of the Bureau Raid, I listen to the soundtrack enough that I often forget the mission's real name.
"in 2B" yeah man, i wish i was in 2B
Bro I literally never knew what D was talking about when he was on about gang intervention, That makes so much sense now
"Matto is the key to Australian people.."

GTA 5 is 10 years old and you still somehow find new and interesting things to make videos about. Rockstar should bundle these into bonus content when they re re re re release it for ps6.
Ive completed this game exactly 21 times and this cut content sounds pretty cool
now this is great content, def gonna need more similiar sutff Matt
matto never fails to make me smile :) thanks for yet another awesome upload !
Going through and handing out likes, and then the intro made me laugh out loud. Great people.
Thankyou for these cool vids after all these years viper
Nice to see Matto reference heat as it's one of my favourite movies
2:59 I’m glad you finally watched Heat after such a long time (of me telling you to).
Darkviper: kinda hacks into gta 5 files
R*: you're not supposed to be here *gun pointed
I’ve always noticed how on the back cover for the game the cadia libre bike chase was done by Franklin as he’s on a bike chasing the plane
Transition at the end scared the crap out of me.
Jesus, the Epsilon quest is exceedingly repetitive and irritating already. Imagine having to do 50 days and 20 miles?! Thank Kifflom that somebody realized how insane that is.
Ha, I mean, you wanted to join a cult, now do it.
Good video as always, but I think it was way too fast. The stream of information was constant and there was not any downtime to allow me to palate the info I got.

For anyone who didnt notice, the name Vinewood Babylon is a reference to a Misfits song called Hollywoof Babylon.

I'd be worried about talking about files Rockstar left in, last time someone talked about their files, chaos.
Lets take a second to think about how much time and effort matto puts into his videos,
Good job fellow Australian.
