I could really use it too! I get asked to do legal/financial appointments for my remote interpreting job and it's really hard to find videos to practice with! Your channel is awesome, thank you for what you do!
I had an anxiety attack just trying to keep up ive only been doing this for a month is that normal 🤦🏻♀️ it’s good practice tho hopefully I get better cause so far I feel like a failure
I still get anxiety attacks whenever I interpret these videos as well. This does not happen in a real life situation, though. Maybe because I want to do a good job for you guys and not look like a fool, so that adds to the pressure. Just relax (so cliché), I have some unwinds sessions that talk about this that might be worth your while. Any new and challenging situation will almost always bring anxiety it’s up to each one of us to find the strategies that can reduce these levels so it does not affect our performance and most importantly don’t give up. Familiarity is a good way to make stressful situations lose their impact through constant, repeted and gradual exposure. Good luck! Juan Prieto Interpet Your World Team
@@Interpretyourworld thank you so much I wanted to say your videos are really helpful and I was able to pass my interpreting test thanks to the practice I got 😊
How do you handle that disclaimer the CS Client read to the Costumer? Are interpreters given a copy of it as well beforehand? Or you just have to interpret the whole thing?!! 🥴🥴
Both. Some do provide it others you will hate, lol. You can always ask to be read sentence by sentence. I suggest you do this if this is the first time you hear the disclaimer because people like to read and read on those fancy legal words.
I wouldn't like to interpret Finantial issues since it demands a lot of logical thinking and numbers that you need to understand first so interpretation makes sence the time of rendition.
Yes definitely understanding a topic well will help with your interpretation a lot. As a medical interpreter, I don’t remember when was the last time that I did a financial session.
@@Interpretyourworld this is what like to do I aim an English and Spanish teacher, training myself online but it's so difficult. The consecutive interpretation and memorize all at once is so difficult. I am getting discouraged maybe I am not built to a job like this. But I need to work hard so I can get a better income while raising a Tod. Any tips for that?
Keep practicing. it usually takes around 40 hours of interpreting practice to get the hang of it. If there is anything specific I can help with I am doing a series where I answer questions you guys might have here. th-cam.com/video/iAq9xb3BjtU/w-d-xo.html
I wish you were given this amount of time to interpret in a real life situation. Besides, they sound very nice and patient.
Thanks for this posting!
hi! when will you post more financing videos? Keepup the amazing work!

Some are too long, and you can ask for a repetition to the client...but on an exam is tough to keep all the info, plus take notes...
