Maul in clone wars only had the formal training of an apprentice, but was able to claw his was to being a Sith Lord. Had Sidious taught Maul for a longer duration he couldve been an unstoppable sith. Although he was not as powerful as full potential anakin his force abilities could've been limitless as most Dathamerians have a moderate to high midochlorian count. Everyone knows about the battle of Mustafar and what happened to Anakin.

I didn’t see a blade to blade fight with Anakin and Savage at least yet. Anakin can also beat Ventress as he did in the 2003 show and a comic.
