American truck are more specialized - precise tools for very specific jobs, they can do a little, but they do it very well. Russian trucks are more of jack of all trades - that's because of the nature of life in Russia, you make do with what you have, and the same truck today is used to haul milk, tomorrow it will haul logs, the next day it will be transporting ammunition to the front lines. And due to legacy of planned economy in the USSR, they needed to make one chassis fit all, flatbeds, box vans, crane chassis, you name it.
US trucks have highway suspension, except fot the loadstar & 750, which = shite off road The Russian trucks, main'y the ex Soviet have full off road suspension, ie walking beam reqr suspension with vertical wheel travel measured in feet rather than inches Even IRL US military trucks are CRAP off road, i've driven them & ex Soviet & the US trucks are built for highway speeds 65mph+ Soviet off road trucks will just about reach 37mph downhill on tarmac but will get anywhere that isn't a cliff
KOLOB trucks are actually Belarusian, cause they're modeled after MZKT trucks. Zikz trucks are Belarusian too btw, modeled after MAZ trucks. Don't want to cast any shade, I'm just enjoying the fact that my home country is kinda sorta represented in this game 😅
MZKT are a subsidiary of MAZ & are based in Moscow, some MZKT trucks are however built under license in Belarus for the civilian market Whereas the Ziks tag actually refers to MAZ, the Moscow based heavy military vehicle manufacturer, plus its medium vehicle manufacturer that builds 6X6 & for the military & 6X4 for civilian use KAMAZ I spent over 20 years driving ex Soviet off road truck for fun, my bosses were avid collectors & set aside 300 acres of one of their farm estates as a private off road playground & it was 70% very boggy swamp, only one US built truck could manage it, a 1943 GMC 'yellow' 6X6, a Chevy blazer did once manage to travel 200 yards & then only after being fitted with a Nissan diesel & gearbox from a Patrol, prior to that it got 11 feet & bogged, dragged it out with a 40+ year old Zil 131 that was running off its back up ignition system after it took a bath an hour earlier
@@Zephirus13 Only the uninformed don't know that. US = US, Canadian = Canadian & NOT made in US. The best offroad trucks, & the only truck worth using for anything heavy are the ex Soviet trucks, MAZ, ZIL , KAMAZ, URAL, KAMAZ. US trucks have SHITTY highway suspension
Yeah, I think the CAT was a poor choice, considering it was never going to do well in anything deeper than bath water. As for the Derry, not using the drop suspension was either a mistake or a deliberate attempt to hamstring it. The DL would have performed much better in the straight line mud race and climbs with the extra wheels and maybe have at least finished over the corrugated "mud pit". Who knows? Maybe I'm kidding myself on this last bit.
@@tadge-rico also boar is DLC truck rest is not, kolob is the only 8 wheeler, CATs very limited addon choices should be considered and derry is kind of capable truck but reason why is not used by many is its abysmal turn radius
On a side note Kamaz trucks have won the Dakar more times than any other 3 brands combined. Everyone who knows how to do off road takes part, or has before (DAF, Iveco, Scania, Tatra, MAN, etc). None of them are American.
Nice comparison! I like soviet trucks since they were the best back in spintires. Would like to see the Mastodon and the 605 performance against some USA trucks.
I've always said that the P12 should get a slightly more powerful engine like the Derry Longhorn 4520... Derry Longhorn 3194 - Well, it's a bit of a dud truck. Maybe a Kenworth or PLAD 450 would be a better choice?
The only thing I would like to see would be decent stats on tyres as for they are rated on a 10 point scale and the best mud tyre is only 3 whereas the tuz 420 has a stock tyre in mud rated as 8 I don't understand why
It's no a rating scale, it is a numeric value filling a variable, you can increase the number to a point where the tire sticks to the ground ND a truck doesn't move... 😂
Just one very major detail you really messed up on PACIFIC TRUCKS ARE DESIGNED & BUILT IN CANADA. They have sweet F A to do with the US automotive industry
I do enjoy your channel, but on a side note : Pacific Truck & Trailer Limited was a Canadian truck manufacturer based in Vancouver that built heavy trucks for logging, fire trucks, and heavy haulers. The P12 was one of the trucks manufactured by Pacific. Canada is not the USA.
Totally side with the Russian side with there trucks unless u have mr buses longhorn derry juggernaut which is a beast of a modded truck but yes I do like alot of the Russian trucks any situation they seem to come out on top with most of the jobs

I don't think so. Considering the ad campaigns were always, "We have the best one do all truck and the competition doesn't"

US trucks made for power. Russian ones for offroad.

А грузовики Pacific на самом деле канадские. Только вот разделение тут условное, в рамках игры.

As an American, I use primarily Russian trucks. Mod's as well, especially the Azov 73210 Kikimore.
wtf? the truck selection doesnt make sense at all and you did not take in account main flaws of CAT and derry

The 745c container carrier with a rollback bed would look sick on the Antarctic....or just a custom, short&wide high saddle trailer for Antarctic

Wanna make note of something real quick as you probably all know but Pacifics are Canadian built.

And the Kolob is Belorussian. Oh well...

Mastodon vs Plad...
The mastodon probably wins, it's pretty much impossible to get stuck unless going uphill or crowded areas, the only downside I've seen is it's slow
I prefer russian trucks, its had better american trucks!
It's a shame that you had to destroy a perfectly good Caterpillar engine in the name of science 🤣
Conclusion = is a game that try to simulate, BUT since is a game...take it like a game, not real life 🎉😊😂
And since you used the dlc boar truck, you could have used dlc US trucks.
You could have done better.
Suspension in this American trucks it's a joke.
Not a very fair line up
