Glad to see there were actually NO issues with it. The owner just never cleaned it apparently. I bought an SR22 last month after doing a little research on semi-automatic pistols.
i had my last week, i put exactly 1,100 rds on it, brand new and no clean, i had no jam, or i can say it no issues at all at that point, i love it very much, i’m honestly with you guys, ok here i mean 1 week before i bought SR22 i was bought Walther P22, it’s really pissed me off, It jam badly, out of the box, first Mag ten rounds, it’s jam 7 rds...!! no kidding... i had a video with me, and i breaking in another 600 rds, now it like ok but i knew only i use CCI, so with the owner of SR22 we know it SR22 was one of the best pistol on market, i truly say thank you Ruger give us , all gunner a beautiful pistol...
When I bought mine I took it to the range and I had "minor" issues shooting (bare lead bullet) Remington Thunderbolts (have way to many not to use them) and (plated) Golden bullets but was limited for time and only shot about 40 rounds of each and when I got home and stripped the gun to clean it I couldn't believe the (for a lack of a better term) Vaseline like substance that was inside from the manufacturer when it was shipped to be put on a shelve and sold, I cleaned it good and it then shot fine. I will only shoot plated ammo out of it once I get rid of the Thunderbolts in order the keep the bore cleaner while shooting it from all the lead fouling you get with a bare lead bullet.
Frank ! Thanks for sharing! I think you hit the nail on the head regarding cleaning the pistol for best operation. I recommend cleaning any and all firearms, before shooting them right from the box. Many oils and/or lubes are only meant for long term storage, and not the best use for the operation of the firearm. Thanks for watching, and be safe!
This was 5 years ago. If I recall, they were having failure to feed, and eject. I personally own one of these pistols. They run like a champ. Not picky to ammo at all. I believe the issues the owner had were due to lack of maintenance. As mentioned in the video, the pistol was absolutely filthy when I got it. I thoroughly cleaned it before testing. Thanks for watching, and be safe.

Thanks for watching. I love mine. So fun to shoot, extremely reliable, accurate, and cheap ammo! :) Be safe and healthy Mr Trade0714.

I learned nothing from this video. What kind of malfunction did the owner describe?
