I love these twos relationship because it really depicts how startling and heartbreaking losing a loved one to radicalisation looks and feels like. They shift and you change and they keep shifting into a heuristic version of themselves that you can’t even recognise them anymore and the time and love they shared with them is still ever present despite the desperation.
Their situation happened to me, and I can tell you it definitely feels awful. My childhood best friend and I were inseparable, until some fucked up shit happened to him that he kept hidden from me until he broke down. I didn’t notice soon enough, and bit by bit his views started getting more and more extreme. Before I knew it my best friend wasn’t there anymore, just this drug addict human-hating person I didn’t even recognize. Before we stopped talking, I remember he was talking about this huge “project” he had going on, he even had a logo for it and everything. He told me that he couldn’t tell me his plans, but that he had everything figured out. That I would see a better world, and that he would manage to eliminate every single “sinner” bit by bit so nature and animals could win over the world again. i understand how you feel, i spent my last two years of high school in and out of it, had to go online because i couldn’t do it anymore and just cried in my car in the school parking lot instead of going into class. i ruined my senior year. graduated a year ago and immediately went to residential treatment for 2 months. i turned 19 this november. i have a job and that’s all that occupies my time. i can’t leave until i finish my treatment here. everyone else i know is out at college, pursuing their futures and i’m stuck right here in this little town, living the same day over and over again. its suffocating. they’re all free and i’m still here rotting just the same as i used to be. life goes on but im still here unmoving. our situations aren’t the same but it feels eerily similar. the feeling of lagging so far behind everyone else and the guilt. needing to prove yourself but being stuck so badly. i hope things get better for you, truly. i’m holding onto hope that i can escape this cycle and i hope you do too

JUST HPLD HANDS PLEASE.. 0:50 i absolutely love this part with gojo running at riko with sea cucumbers LMAOO its just so cute, a glimpse into their youth!! and i love how geto's bang swishes here hehe 0:58 this transition is so genius but so heartbreaking 1:35 SO BEAUTIFUL.. the line "you got the life you always wanted" with older geto & mimiko and nanako URGHH simply one of my fave manga panels and im not prepared for when it shows up in the anime. its adapted so well here! 1:42 beautiful head turn of shoko!! she was there too !! :< 1:43 theres so much detail here even though its just one second.. geto looks so happy with his hair down, haibara looking at a sleeping nanami heh 1:46 just makes my heart sink omg, i love the contrast between this shot and the one at 1:05, to be able to sleep around each other shows the amt of trust they had for one another 1:50 geto looking like hes totally smitten here
Being Gojo Satoru is tough. Imagine everything happened like it's your fault even not realized his other half is in crippling depression and can't even make them change their mind even if you scowl or shout on top of your lung.
i need you to know that this video specifically is what finally sold me on satosugu. like, not just a "oh they're definitely in love, there's something going on here", it was suddenly a "oh my god they were in LOVE and they literally can never go back to that. there is no going back to those youthful days. they made choices, and sometimes you can't save the ones you love from going down some terrible, dark paths." i have rewatched this video at least twenty times since i first saw it in october. it truly has changed the way i see the hidden inventory arc. i love this video so much. your art is absolutely stunning. i hope you realize just how influential this was to me, as strange as it is to say. keep making art and doing what you're doing, because it's amazing.

i understand how you feel, i spent my last two years of high school in and out of it, had to go online because i couldn’t do it anymore and just cried in my car in the school parking lot instead of going into class. i ruined my senior year. graduated a year ago and immediately went to residential treatment for 2 months. i turned 19 this november. i have a job and that’s all that occupies my time. i can’t leave until i finish my treatment here. everyone else i know is out at college, pursuing their futures and i’m stuck right here in this little town, living the same day over and over again. its suffocating. they’re all free and i’m still here rotting just the same as i used to be. life goes on but im still here unmoving. our situations aren’t the same but it feels eerily similar. the feeling of lagging so far behind everyone else and the guilt. needing to prove yourself but being stuck so badly. i hope things get better for you, truly. i’m holding onto hope that i can escape this cycle and i hope you do too

Wheather you see the relationship as romantic or not this video beautifully captures the happiness of their youth and juxtaposes it perfect it’s the utter despair after Rika and Toji. Weather friends or lovers there’s a clear bond their and watching the video feels a bit reminiscent of losing someone close to you personally. You captured the emotions perfectly, it even brought me back to my youth and people I no longer talk to for one reason or another.
