- As soon as Hobonichi announced the Tragen cover in their Spring release, I knew I had to have this in my collection. The zipper pouch in the front of the tri-fold cover sold me. I've always kept a separate set of stationery at work with my everyday carry (EDC) essentials, and now I don't need to as my essentials will be with my Hobonichi Weeks all of the time. What a joy! And not to mention, this will be very convenient with my upcoming Europe trip. I hope you enjoy this tour and review of the Tragen cover. It's currently out of stock, but it looks like they'll be restocking this weeks cover soon so keep an eye out for it!

I was looking at this cover in the A5 size, almost got it but changed my mind at the last minute. I really like the looks of it, but being a dust and lint magnet would drive me nuts.
It's honestly my biggest bugbear with this cover too 😢
I just wish Hobonichi had them in a variety of colors! I would buy a purple, red or turquoise Tragen in a second.
I was really hoping they would come out with a green one this year!
I have a ragdoll cat, who is brushed daily, but wow the minute i opened this it was like a magnet for all his fur and fluff! Too much of a bug bear for me so i returned. Just a shame when they use this material, same as some of their pouches.
Ah yes, I understand the struggle with cat fur! It does become a nuisance. Hoping it doesn't bother me too much as I continue to use it 😅
I’m so glad you commented this lol. I also have a ragdoll. I will have to pass on this item as well though I wanted it lol.
I like this way more than travel company but am unable to find it. The fact that my €200 pen has some added security when I put it inside my bag is such a relief that I can’t get with the travelers company, I always keep my pen in a separate box thus increasing the total footprint and friction while writing, cloth I feel would also be much nicer to hold. And lastly it comes with so many pouches in built that I had to buy in TC separately.
I love love this case! Definitely my most used one so far. It's also super light! I hope you're able to find it. Maybe hobonichi will come out with more colours too! ☺️
Been waiting for review on this! I also bought mine and have loved it so far especially the extra pockets for ephmera and stickers 🤍 Only issue is how dirty it gets and it collects my cats fur.
Saaaame! Maybe there's some anti-static spray we can use to deter the furrrr. Genuinely going to look for this now... 😅

I love seeing how people use their Hobonichi covers! I adore these Tragen ones and also bought them straightaway during the Spring launch. As someone who uses both the Mega and the standard Weeks sizes, I find the Tragen fits the standard so much better; when I was using it for the Weeks Mega, it felt so much rounder and way too bulky for my liking (especially when using the zipper pocket for even just one or two pens). Most covers are not great for use with the Mega, unfortch, and it may end up being my life's mission to find one that's perfect for it (or just stop using the Mega altogether 😭).
Oooh so good to know what your experience is like with the mega in this cover. Sometimes I contemplate getting the mega but then I realise I don't need that many notes pages - though it's always a nice thought 😅
I'm really finding that it's A LOT of memo pages in the back, so I may just end up using only the standard size next year.

I just checked and it definitely fits in both the back and inside pocket :)
