  • professional football player Donald Bell signed for a Bradford football team called Bradford Park Avenue FC(an Edwardian football club founded in 1907)in 1912 but unfortunately war broke out in Europe 1914 WWI and the teacher football player signed up to fight in the great war to end all wars.Donald was in action on the 5th of July 1916 on a French battle field called the Somme his actions that day earned himself the VC Victory Cross/5 days later he was KIA on the 10th of July 1916.I myself will remember the 10th of July ever year from now and pay my respects in someway at the avenue football ground or stadium for Donald and his fellow men.
you can find Donald Bell and his medals that he was awarded in the first world war at the English football league museum Donalds medals were put up for sale and it seems like the English football league would have just about payed any amount of money for these medals that Mr Bell was awarded/that's respect,I believe they payed over £200.000 not sure but love it.RIP Donald
also I don't know if Mr Bell as a plaque/memorial at the avenue or any other place in Bradford but I'm going to push Bradford council to put a remembrance plaque for him if there isn't one anywhere etc, keep checking in will up date,
MR Bell is the only professional footballer who as been awarded the Victory Cross VC.
footballer Jim Fryatt scored a four second goal on this Edwardian football pitch and it was scored on this part of the surviving part of Bradford Park Avenue football pitch(goal area)which you can see on this video this is the actual place Jim scored his and the team's four second goal for the Avenue.
they is so much more I personally could have said about these two hero's that were a big part of this clubs history(Bradford Park Avenue FC)on this video but due to my inexperience making these types of videos films etc it didn't happen I only realize this after I put this video together its a learning process for me I will get better or do better/hopefully I will go back to the Avenue and remake this video.

It’s such a shame to see what has happened to Bradford. My town is undergoing a massive change now and it’s horrifying to see the people and businesses you grew up with all move away and be replaced. Such a lovely hard working city Bradford too.

Good effort mate, we all have to start somewhere. Next year you'll be making great videos and telling your own stories. Four years ago I was in the same position learning from scratch, and watched loads of tutorials on how to make videos and edit them. Tried different cameras and ended up with a stabilised GoPro, best choice and investment I ever made. Put it on a cheap gimble, or strap it on your chest mate and no-one will notice you. Older GoPros are cheaper than iPhones. No need for a separate microphone, and you'll get rock steady footage with stabilisation on. I don't post videos any more and GoPro does not sponsor me.

Aldershot town fc should be listed its the only football ground in the south that's still original. Sadly they're proposing redevelopment. I love the old stands and feeling of history. Good vlog mate 👍
