Disraeli Gears was the first album I ever bought. There was a pretty girl whose boyfriend would wait for her every day in the parking lot of our high school, in his 1963 Corvette Split Window Coupe (lime metalflake green). One day, I was walking out and I heard these amazing sounds coming from inside the Vette. I walked up and stuck my head in the passenger's window. I asked him what it was he was listening to. He didn't even acknowledge my presence, he just grabbed the 8-track out of his deck, and handed it to me. I studied it carefully, and handed it back to him, thanking him as I walked away. That weekend, I bought the album and played it to death. I memorized every note and nuance. Usually, covers to this masterpiece are just grim. However; King Cool does Clapton, Baker and Bruce justice. VERY listenable,
Drummer is a BEAST...channeled Ginger Baker, and the bassist NAILS Jack Bruce! Th axe is truly outstanding, too, and has captured the soul of it, far beyond perfecting the lead line. This is the best "Crossroads" cover that I have ever heard. Amazing!
I was lucky enough to hear Cream live at Vets Auditorium Des Moines, Iowa in 1968. You guys sound SO good together!!!! I'm having a flashback!!! smile keep up the great work!!!!
Kudos to King Cool for even attempting such a cultural stretch. C+ for the singing, guitar playing, and drumming. A for the album cover. A+ for the bass player! If EC ever tours Japan again, Jack Okamoto could guest on bass.
He certainly had Jack's style down!! Wow. That's not an easy task! The singer had a SG. knockoff on Clapton's axe. Pretty wild stuff. Too bad Ginger didn't hear this?! I communicated with him once online + I blew it up with stupidity cause I thought it was a hoax. I was wrong!! His son is a drummer, I didn't know that. Great job guys!!!
Well I gotta say this is what happens when you pay attention! Your band has nailed the F^#k out of that classic Wheels of Fire track! I was blown away by Crossroads when the album came out. And I am still blown away hearing your version just now!! RIP Jack and Ginger, and rest assured although you're no longer here with us, your music lives on! Peace to you guy's for this beautiful performance! P.S. the first time I heard Crossroads preformed live was in '73. Lynyrd Skynyrd's 2nd Chicago gig at the Aragon Ballroom. They tore into this song as they took the stage. To me it showed what Skynyrd was all about, where their roots were. Anyway, it blew the roof off the joint, like you guy's are doing now! 😎
Really GREAT JOB guys !!! I'm sure Eric, Jack, & Ginger give you all 110 % approval on your Crossroads rendition. All the best to you & yours & stay well all. Keep on rocking !!!
Same pace as original Cream version. This latter has been nailed firmly to the top of my top ten forever. Most subsequent versions - including the great EC’s have unfortunately progressively slowed this track down more into bluesy renditions which was and is Eric’s chosen path. Nice try here, though.
Excellent,The Drummer double bass is a great upgrade
They FRIGGIN NAILED IT!!!!
Great job on the bass. Damn
The bassist absolutely NAILS the style of Jack Bruce. Really well done.

Wow !! Only the Japanese could do this..!!

The same time colour..the same 'blown' sound! Great

This is the best "Crossroads" cover that I have ever heard. Amazing!
Kudos to Cream for coming up with a fantastic interpretation of this song.
The first time I heard this, I almost thought it was the actual song recorded over the performance. Absolutely hit the bullseye, just awesome.
This is as close to Cream that you can get. Keep up the fantastic work gentlemen. A great tribute to the boys!
Rockin cover. One of the best I’ve heard and I’m a huge Clapton/Cream fan. Thanks for an absolutely amazing gift!
Three skilled asian musicians who obviously have put a huge amount of time into learning their craft.
And this tune was written by none other than Robert Johnson!
