It should be disclosed that these devices are now full blown digital billboards. Anyone who currently owns an echo show device knows that full screen advertising is now forced and cannot be turned off. That should be part of Amazon’s marketing and maybe part of your review? I have three Amazon echo show 15s that now have the screens permanently turned off unless I am streaming video. Otherwise they just rotate fullscreen ads continuously. If Amazon is going to charge between $300 and $500 for the new version, they should be upfront the forced advertising. Full screen ads are now even shown after smart home requests. It should be customer first not Amazon and its third-party advertising partners.
@@davidtison3737 They’ve been slowly rolling it out to all users. I was spared from it until about a month are so ago. The Echo Show 15 I have in the Bathroom for streaming TV was set to wake up at a certain time. That has now been disabled because when it wakes from sleep, the majority of the time it wakes to a full screen ad from some third-party. I was removing widgets from my 3 echo show 15s and I discovered that Amazon had installed a widget and turned it on that allowed advertising. Even after I uninstalled and disabled that widget I’m still presented with full screen advertising. Definitely an issue. Lots of people are not happy about.

1080p is fine for a 21 inch display, and less expensive to produce as well.
