Fun watching their little faces follow you and watch as you feed their siblings. One's eyes were so wide open, and they appear so intent on the activities. Great gentle man.

By day 4 Martin has the owlets looking like obedient little soldiers perched, well mannered & waiting to be fed. An adorable site even their mother would be hard pressed to duplicate. Martin is just amazing with birds! Amazing!

Years ago, I was having a horrible night on a paper route I had at the time. Near the end of the route I had found one of my customers had put their ceramic owl IN their box instead of on top. Barely controlling my irritation, I roughly reached in to grab the thing and slam it on top of the box. As I grasped it's soft feathers, it very calmly turned to look at me. Snatching my hand back in shock I just stared dumbfounded at this living owl looking calmly back at me. After some of the coolest minutes of my life looking at this adorable bird from about a foot away, the owl calmly took off, flitting through my car and out the other side. I later figured out it was an eastern saw-whet owl. To this day, that remains one of the most profound wild animal encounters I've had.

this is now one of my family favorite owl videos, we have never seen them lay down on their backs for defence so we felt bad laughing at them looking like little overfed plushies even though we knew they were scared. it was so heartwarming to see them gradually realize they were being cared for and line up to receive food. I love owls but I love little owls the most and one day I hope to work at the rescue center and help many little friends return to a healthy life. thank you for saving them and inspiring others!

It is. That city is the greenest place on the planet. By the definition of Google. Its a small city in southwest of Iran called JHHROM. The city is full of Palm tress, thousands of orchards. Circus growth of all kinds of fruits. Oranges, tangerines, lemon, lime and sweet lemon that is native IRAN. Also the walks of the streets are full of Mulberry. Has the smaller fruits to their close cousins Strawberry. My father had several orchards of Oranges, lime, lemon, sweet lemon and very tall palm trees. The places that would have peace of mind and tranquility, was outside of the city but with walking distance. I did most of my studies and homework during my high school in that part of the city. So adorable, thanks so much for the great vid!! It's amazing how they have little personalities, even at such a young age. I loved the dog - came in, looked, walked away - yeah just more of Mom & Dad's birds, nothing to see here. LOL

The Saw Whet Owl is my favorite owl species and I was so happy to see you save theses chicks! I have to say that Americans like you and your family give me hope whenever I’m feeling frustrated with how the culture of America is behaving. Thank you for your kindness, patience and dedication to helping vulnerable animals. You seem like a really lovely person who would be fascinating to meet and listen too!

So cute how they pretty much line and wait for you to feed. They must see you as their parent or something.

It takes awhile to get them to eat in captivity, it is very stressful for them.
