  • First trip out since the end of last season. It was a good weekend aside from breaking both rear axles near Old's. Luckily the front wheels were able to pull us all the way back to camp and I was prepared to swap them out. See you all out there!

How do you like your GMZ Sand Strippers? Would you buy them again? What would you buy for your next set? Looking for sand tires, RZR XP4 1000 Turbo. Headed to Glamis, Buttercup for New Years.

I like the sand strippers. The wheel and tire set are lightweight, quality and look good. But I'm currently looking to upgrade/change to skats. The sand destroyers from SandCraft look like the way to go. I want 32's and they claim even lighter weight. I'm currently looking into purchasing this setup. Skats are known to be the best and SandCraft made some unique refinements to an already good design. I'll be sure to review when I make the switch!

@@TheOffRoadAdventureChannel Thanks for the information. I have heard good things about the Skats, but can't justify the expense for once or twice a year. Looking at the Sand Stripper XL-TT for the front and Sand Strippers for the rear. Is there a need for a front traction tire?

@@ronaldritter7079 I pretty much only run in 2WD. I've never had to use 4Wheel unless I broke a rear axle or thought I was going bury the car for some reason. And in all cases the front tires pulled great. I feel front paddles of any kind may hurt rolling momentum and I prefer more slide and less grip in hard turns! Haha

The Off-Road Adventure Channel What axles did you have at the time that broke, and how many miles did they have on them? If you remember. Also, do you just pull them out and drive back out with an open hole in the diff, or is there a plug you use? Thanks, love the videos man, keep em coming!

Ryan Magana Thanks brother ! I just pulled them and drove back with the front wheels. Just cleaned it all up at camp no biggie. They were the OEM axles. Had about 60 hours on them. Can't recall the mileage but under 1,000.
