    I never thought Hangul has it own cursive style... this is very useful, now I can understand some title headers.

    Very useful! I'm studying Korean but wrote like a computer font, struggled to fit everything in a "square" and it was a bit messy/cramped because I'm not used to writing casually/non-cursive. This is the perfect video for me, especially with the arrows!

    I noticed I have been writing some korean like this for a while but I thought that was just me trying to write smth in my normal speed (as I do with cursive portuguese). I thought I was butchering the language for the sake of speed, but turns out I'm not. I'm glad 😅

    From the M shape, it shaped like cursive Hebrew for the same sound. Led me to analyze the shapes of other letters in Phoenician-descents and find out if they have the same philosophy but very different history (and weren't intended for widespread literacy for Phoenician-descents). See the shapes by yourself, I'd learned many about Phoenician and its descends (Latin and Arabic script included). Some are drawn differently such as A T W and Theta. I don't intend to offend Koreans but that's what I did learned from my analysis

    You have shown 2-3 ways of writing each letter, will it look normal if i write some of the letters like no.1 way, which is more neater and slower and write some letters like no.3 which is faster and a bit more cursive looking ?

    • @d0yaa
      @d0yaa 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      like while writing english, while writing in print handwriting, some people mix cursive r and cursive s.

    • @histudio6511
      @histudio6511  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When it comes to only consonants, i think you can mix these and build your own style. But in writing consonants and vowels together, its better to choose only one style, i think
      (For example, neater consonants don't look good with highly cursive vowels)

    Is it okay to mix cursive levels? Like do number 2 of on letter and then 3 for another or will that look stupid?

    • @histudio6511
      @histudio6511  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Of course you can! While you try out some mixes you might be able to create your own style.

    Why should ㅅ not be written like a ^?

    • @histudio6511
      @histudio6511  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As you can see with a printed ㅅ, ㅅ is made of 2 strokes, and there's a rule to write a ㅅ, first ↙, then ↘. (NOT ↗ and then ↘!!!) '^' is like it's made of only one stroke with an angle in the middle of it. And furthermore, many Koreans think it looks quite childish. Of course you can find many fonts that has a ㅅ like a ^. But those ^'s were carfully designed.
