Ruiz kicked his ass soundly , fair and square . Joshua is an over rated fighter , and Ruiz is under rated . That sums it up . The sooner Joshua accepts that , the better off he will be . There was another British fighter who in my opinion was better than Joshua , and that was Frank Bruno. Mike Tyson beat Frank Bruno twice. Joshua is only a shadow of a 20 year old Mike Tyson .

    • @eahughey

I don't hear any aggression in Joshua. I hear an analyst, a chess player, a programmer... he fought Ruiz from his head and not from his heart. Ruiz on the other hand fought from his heart and his head. Ruiz will win again if this analyst shows up in the ring.

And you're right, Ruiz is not "brilliant", but he's a very good inside fighter with good power. AJ got dropped multiple times, that was not luck in anyway. Worse than that, he still thinks that boxing is an arm wrestle and not a chess match. After being court order banned From Calling Joshua out ringside ,and after almost four years, they wanted Wilder to cut out his own people for a Hearn Associated Dazn offer ,when Wilder already vowed his word with other fights..
Wilder stood to his word, never cheats with PEDS ,but should of forced his way in sooner ,but I understand how you cannot trust Hearn.

AJ spat the gum shield out, it didn't get knocked out of his mouth... obviously the ref thought AJ is taking the absolute piss to get a few more seconds to recover... AJ should have been inching to smash Ruiz and not rest in the corner with his arms on the top rope like he's admiring some view in the distance.

The gum-shield . Unfortunately AJ spat it out. Conscious or not, he was trying to gain himself time. It’s an old trick. He was taking big shots by that time. He had to deal with adversity and unfortunately he wasn’t fired up enough when it came. He didn’t have that mentality built up for Ruiz. The ref was probably justified stopping it. Do I think he can do it in the rematch? Yes! But so can Ruiz. A very durable boxing man with tons of experience and great combinations and hand speed. AJ has to fight his fight, not get drawn in close.
