To be honest, I don’t think Disney will ever make another film that rivals the Lion King when it comes to overall power. Even though this music is almost 30 years old, the ending still makes me tear up.
Hans Zimmer is the only reason it was different and powerful.

I don't think it's underrated at all. Hans Zimmer won an Oscar for it and it's one of the most popular soundtracks ever

Im 47 Years old, I worked at the videostore in 1995, I got to take it home. Everytime the flute plays I weep, until this day !! Steven Spielberg once said, a great soundtrack is 50% of the movie.
