      I did a double take when I heard that tune in a church one day. Turns out some of the melody is from Mozart's "Ave Verum Corpus"

    I’m speaking with a biased opinion, but I don’t think Disney will ever make a film that will surpass the Lion King in terms of power. There are more powerful scenes in that film than any other I have seen. Most powerful scenes in the Lion King: the morning lesson, the night lesson after Simba nearly got killed by hyenas, the wildebeest stampede, Mufasa’s death, Mufasa appearing in the sky to tell his son to remember who he is, Simba and Scar fight, and finally, Simba taking his place as king.

    At 8:18 , the first 10-15 seconds of that melody is just so beautiful.. I legit can not refrain from crying the second I start to hear they soft sad tone melody.
    The impression it gives off, is someone who is lost and still grieving. Someone who is roaming the world in an empty shell of what they used to be. The hard reality of losing someone so dear to you and coming to terms with that.. 🥀

    The answer to your question is that they take a few tracks and turn them into a full overture.
    The tracks they used are: We Are All Connected, This Land, Stampede, Mufasa Dies and The Rightful King/Finale.

    Just like the movie he scored (Lion King), this became his tribute to his father who died when Hans was still small, so what happened in the film also paralleled his own story, so it was a very special project to him. This is also the only Oscars Award he won.

      Not his only Oscar Award anymore. He won “Best Original Score” for Dune in 2022, which is another amazing score. It still amazes me how people think Hans Zimmer is just “noise” when he’s much much more than that.

      He also had a young daughter and he could never take her to premieres because a lot of the films he was scoring were violent, tense or bloody, so he felt that this film would be the perfect opportunity.

    You guys .... Lion King is a very beloved and iconic Disney soundtrack and film . Hanz Zimmer , nailed it ! What a nostalgia. That concert in Vienna was outstanding. Great performance. Pedro Eustache with the whistle was great. As always does.

    To your question, during the Hans Zimmer Live and World of Hans Zimmer tours they never do entire soundtracks. The show features a lot of different movies, consisting of some individual tracks and some medleys. The medleys usually cap out at around 12-13 minutes for things like Gladiator, Batman, Pirates of the Caribbean, Interstellar, and Inception. Best shows I've ever seen. As good as the videos are, they will never do it justice. The sound and sheer force you get from such a large group of musicians together live is just something else entirely.

    Thats why both Pedro and Rusanda ( the flute and the main violin players) are playing live with Hans Zimmer now :) You gett all the soundtracks (Batman, Superman, Wonderwoman, Gladiator, Last Samurai, Pirates, etc) they usually do a 10 min medley, its a long concert, its like 4h30

  • @RyanMovingViolationz
    @RyanMovingViolationz 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Travis, I've been to a concert of his when he's actually there playing with the orchestra. They play a huge sampling of soundtracks he's composed, and they end off usually with Lion King! I cried and made a scene of myself haha Great reaction, you two! 🙂👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

    I know t's not your cup of tea, but as reactors, you might enjoy listening to the biggest click bait ever on youtube right now as we speak. The one and only: DIMASH.
    Now as rockers that I assume you are, you might wanna listen to Dimash singing Queen's Show must go on, but really the best song to begin with is SOS, sung in the chinese I'm Singer reality show, followed by Sinful Passion (look for the no-glitch version because most reactors reacted to a version that has a glitch in the most epic moment.) If you're into vocals, he's the king. Love your reactions! New subscriber here. =)
