    Those darn reality shows where picking and auctions hype everything now...everybody thinks they have gold. Takes the fun out of everything.

      Dick Diecast thanks man! You're right some of the prices were ridiculous. I tried to stay away from the premium stuff, but I spent too much $ anyway.

    Great vid! I see these shows are just like comic book shows, with sellers overvaluing everything. I do collect early Matchbox Superfasts and some early redlines tho', seems a lot of the diecast there was 90's.

    I'm in the UK, and I used to be in the diecast trade 15 yrs ago, doing these was a weekly thing for me as a dealer, they are slowly dying off now. I do enjoy going to them, and sometimes bargains can be had, a local model rail club has a fair just twice a year, and I usually end up spending about £100 there, eeeeep

    • @JoMotor49
      @JoMotor49  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      thanks for watching @craigybus1 - I hear you, this year's show wasn't near as good as last year's -- Less vendors, less selection this year. Was still a good time, but not enough variety for a new video. Hope to see more next year.

      JoMotor49 I've been showcasing most of my vintage Hot Wheels and Matchbox collection on Instagram. And, if I'm honest, I'm struggling to keep up with regular posts there.
      My wife and I just celebrated the birth of our third child at the end of April, and I'm attempting to wrap up some house renovations. So, life is pretty crazy for us right now at the VeeDub Ranch.
      With that said, I just don't see me making a TH-cam debut anytime soon. Perhaps, when my kids are a bit older, it will be a family production (i.e. diecasttvchannel) of sorts. :)

    • @JoMotor49
      @JoMotor49  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      VeeDub Matt congrats on #3, wow! and house renovations? Yes, I can imagine the VeeDub Ranch schedule is full. I really should check out Instagram more often;)

      ***** I know right? It was a little fishy. He was the quintessential "Supers" guy there... he had like 12 each of the L, M, and N case supers, all on pristine cards. Must have a Malaysia connection. He was charging $35 each for those. I passed.

    • @diecasttvchannel
      @diecasttvchannel 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hahaha, I get the picture on the guy with the "directly sourced" supers LOL! Dodgy, but I imagine he managed to sell them all, even at that price. I liked the vintage HW that you found loose at the show. Really cool to see. Best wishes = )

      I had that S.I.E. semi-trailer truck. It was made of pressed tin and was friction powered. I believe these trucks originally had P.I.E. on them but then switched over to S.I.E. perhaps due to a licensing issue.
