Nice finds, thanks for sharing! I saw a few more vintage cars in those flea market displays I would love to have seen with my own eyes. I can say I would have come home with a heavy backpack and a feather-light wallet. LOL
The selection and price point at that market was excellent, I was wishing I was there big time. I know what you mean with the vintage doubles, I do the same thing and end up with a variation or two myself. Moko is good for that too.
Great video. Brings back memories of every Easter as a kid in the late 60's to late 70's always getting a hot wheel and a pack of Baseball cards in my Easter basket. Oh to have those cars today. Even as a little kid my favorites were The Red Baron and the twin engine car with ? on the doors and the Mutt mobile. With the metal button with the car pictured and had that clip you could wear it on your belt or shirt. Good times.
Tony Lapine worked on both the 924 the 928 the c3 and c4 Corvettes and the Second Gen Camaro. He was hired away from Chevrolet to work for Porsche to over see the design of the then new front engines cars.He was a wonder kin at the time but has faded into obscurity.
I was at a flea market today and picked up a Dixie Challenger with a brown plastic base and what looks like yellow basic wheels. Have you ever heard of that?

I wish Mattel would either bring back the Upfront 924 casting (did it get a "Final Run"?) or just create a new Porsche 924 or 944 casting in case the original Upfront 924 tool was lost, damaged or destroyed. Considering how many Porsches have already gotten the Car Culture treatment, I'm rather surprised Mattel hasn't done a Car Culture 924 yet.
Great video! The 924 probably has no mention of Porsche due to trademark infringement but once again, HW comes up with an interesting name, Upfront which denotes the front engine Porsche. My favorite for an off beat name is the HW Bye-focal....a Dodge Challenger with 2 engines under a tinted lens/hood.
I tell ya I wish i had a place in my area (ohio valley) to purchase vintage diecast. Flea market type deal.I'de be in financial ruin of coarse but i wish.
LOL He lost me at celica. I was like what? Dude Porsche 924. Its called "up front" because typically porsches have rear mounted engines, except the 924 family. They are mounted up front!

Great video, and as others mentioned, Upfront 924 is based on a Porsche 924 (guessing the "upfront" refers to the motor location in this version).

That lifted off road 442 was from the Flying Customs reissues, around 2013-4 I think!
