Hey there, I would personally upgrade your hamsters wheel to an 11 inch wheel! otherwise good job! Sprays are a good option for enrichment like millet, sorghum, flax ect.

Its best not to get hamsters from pet stores, they are from rodent mills and when buying one, its just supporting the rodent mills and petco will replace the hamster you bought

Flower is so cute!! thank you for providing a loving and proper home for her. kudos to getting that bigger wheel, she'll have a lot more fun running on it :D one other thing i'd recommend is scatter-feeding (sprinkle her food throughout the cage) on top of just putting it in a dish, as this promotes hamsters' innate foraging behavior :D

Overall your care is great! But you might need to watch out when it comes to yogurt drops, since hamsters are prone to diabetes, yogurt drops are just a thing of sugar. I would recommend using dried fruits, baby puff snacks, and sunflower seeds! I think you did

Your fur baby looks like a past hamster I had (a black female I named Raven). I used to use a tank with a metal mesh screen top, and I recommend securing that lid to avoid escape. Mine would climb up on the sleeping house or the water bottle bracket and push on the lid. I now house my current hamster in a Niteangel stacker unit that has a drop-side door, and my little fur ball Panda knows to go right up to it and climb out when I open it. Hamsters are crafty and determined, but adorable and fun pets. Good luck with yours.

she definately caught your attention in the store as a lively inquisitive hamster with a lovely coloured coat , usually here in the uk pet stores put some of the hamsters bedding they have been using into the transport box and sometimes a chew as well, the box you opened seemed bare .

Hey! How much did it cost for the cage and all the stuff to take care of her?
It helped that we got the tank secondhand … all in all i would say around 250$ for cage , hamster, bedding & accessories! The houses and stuff I made myself out of cardboard boxes, which saved some money :)
what a gorgeous hammy i got mine bought he is brown and white very skittish when he first came home so its taken12 days to let him settle in , he now lets me stroke him without fleeing its all patience with these adorable creatures next step letting me hold him ,i had hams all my life they are all different , i think his name is diesel as he is energetic i got my hands full x

@@gini.andherhobbies thanks my last ham was called snooty broke my heart when she died earlier this year ,i bought her a heart headstone which read mummy loved you x yeah crazy hamster lady i am but these creatures are more intelligent than people give them credit , i trained snooty to come running to me when she had free roamed in my bedroom / i know she had a happy life , it kills me to see hamsters mistreated if i could i would take them all away to a better life ,i know you feel the same ,small cages should be abolished ie some toys hamster owning is a lot of work and small children get bored with them fast as they don't have the patience ,that's why mums and dads should seriously think about getting one, also being up all night when kids need school etc they will end up doing the cleaning etc not all kids are the same but you need to be super empathic to these furry balls // love and light xxx yeah diesel thinks he's a bird he like flying off his perch even though he got ladders hahahaha x he has got a soft landing promise x flower is just a darling the minute i saw her i was buy her buy her ,never had an all black one , she is just a star on your channel ,hope to see more of you guys /thanks for your time honey x

You definitely saved that beautiful sweet girl. That wheel she had in petco isn't even acceptable for a dwarf. And the level of bedding she had whilst there is horrible. And probably not even acceptable food. So you absolutely saved her the cage you have is amazing amazing level of bedding. And seems very happy. Well done!! 👍👏

@@gini.andherhobbies if I could I'd save all mine from pet shops but due to some of them either being sick or pregnant or you just get the opposite gender. Unfortunately you get more than what you pay for. 😢 But at least you got one that's going to be loved and cared for and hopefully lives a long healthy life 🙏❤️🐹

hi, is it okay to use shredded papers as beddings but with prints,like exam papers or printed notes?
I wouldn’t recommend it, I think normal paper is not soft enough and sharp. I would go with soft paper bedding :)
if normal paper is considered sharp,how about wood shavings that are being sold?

Make sure her teeth is yellow or orange and make sure their teeth and nails aren't overgrown also include a bigger wheel. Check if the gender is right because pet smart get the gender wrong a lot. I hope flower will love her new home and I mean LOVE her new cage :)

once that thing sad about pet store parking lot is that people will just dump their animals there I'm mostly saying this because saw a roster that probably got dumped
That is really sad 😞 but down here there is wild chickens and roosters all over the place , just like other birds ! I’d hope they just live their best life wild and free🙏🏻

@@BizTingles it’s not easy to find one that’s big enough and affordable… what I did is that I looked for a used one - and I found this big tank in great condition second hand for a very affordable price. Maybe you can find one in your area. 💕

Hiii that beding is not safe i would recomend wood shavings
No it's paper I think and thats completely safe its even recommended because of the absorbency and low dust wood shavings are fine just make sure they are safe wood and unscented

le aconsejo que su alimentación apta son el mix de semillas(son 12 tipos de semillas),la semilla de girasol solo se le da 1 semilla ,2 a 3 veces a la semana por que eso la engorda o también le puede dar enfermedades,saludos

Good choice on the wheel upgrade; I have that one myself. My hamster passed away yesterday after 2.5 years, but I've got one from a breeder reserved to collect next weekend that looks a lot like Flower 🥰
So sorry to hear that your hamster has passed away 🙏🏻🐹💔 2,5 years is a long time - seems like your hamster got to live a happy life with you!
