    Thank you for what you do. When I was severely injured, on the ground and alone...the sweetest sound in the world was a siren from a firefighter. I have always appreciated first responders, but now even more so. God speed, sir.

    Looks great. I do have one singular recommendation. Maybe add a bit more cornering lighting, and maybe another light or two on the side, for more of a 360 lighting effect. Good for clearing intersections, turning, etc. Just a recommendation. Great looking truck overall though.

    At my dept. We can have lights [Red & White]. Only our first responders can have sirens. I have a Cadillac Escalade with visor lights and a traffic advisor/ back & fourth sway lightbar.

    The hhs2200 was a issue. That’s why we have the hhs3200. I’m in Texas and been with Whelen for 20 years. Whenever your ready to buy more lights or sirens hit me up. I carry Whelen,Feniex,soundoff,setina,streamlight, and fire tech scene lights. Lots of options for your truck.

      @@NathanielTexas,
      It does seem like your Rumbler is set to 8 seconds as a default.
      I would increase it at least 30 seconds(if not all 60), because from the time you're coming up to the intersection, to the time you're going through it, is way more than 8 seconds and you definitely want to have it on while entering the intersection.
      I would have it run through the horn relay to activate Rumbler separately. So you just press the horn on the steering wheel while clearing the intersection.

    What states can you use sirens in your pov im from Virginia and I'm unsure if it's just my department or if it's it's state law disallowing sirens and I was just wondering if anyone knew maybe a list of states where sirens are allowed cause I've been thinking about moving and I'd definitely take that into account

    • @NathanielTexas
      @NathanielTexas  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’m not entirely sure what different states laws are. I just know WV. And usually not to bring politics into life, you can usually split the difference between red and blue states with POV laws

      I retired with 37 years on 09/01/2021 working metro senior corporal, never moved up. However, I was forced into the job , because my dad was USMC from 1949 & completed a tour in Korea in 50-51, and my mother’s father was a combat soldier in 1917 WW1, they became cops & put in over 45 years each, but my favorite show was Police Story series, and the sound of that wail & Yelp. Yet , I only heard that exact siren ,when I was in driver training at the academy in 1983, then I graduated in 1984 & I was issued a 1979 LTD 2 sedan after probation, with ball whip on driver’s rear quarter panel & 4 antennas for the “Low-Jack” and MDT (Motorolas) slick top & 2 100 watt speakers behind the grill & one red & blue halogen G/E in rear deck chrome Unity post spot stead red. Thus ,it also had Wig Wags in the headlights & tail & backup lights, but it was exhilarating even after 10 years to run code with the dual tone siren, only there was over 4500 officers & they had either FS , or Whelen, but I didn’t ever hear that precise siren after about 1990? The rookies straight out of the academy couldn’t decipher any difference between the new sirens & the ones I heard on the multitude of 70’s Police series & big screen movies? I’m 58, and I’d love to open a piano bar, like on Police story with the nostalgia Police Lamp & gum ball halogens Yankee or F/S & 2 chrome 100 watt speakers between the red & blue gum balls, but sounding that Nostalgic siren I haven’t heard since about 1990? Clearly the bar would cater to public servants & CH folks, but it was truly remarkable to hear that phenomenal wail & Yelp & Hi Lo in dual tone, I actually felt euphoria while running to calls, but the new sirens obviously sounded very different. I tried to ask around PRE-Internet, but cops really didn’t know hardly anything about emergency equipment, especially if they were 20-30 years younger & never experienced the 70’s Police series? I saw Joseph Wambaugh at a Police training in LA sponsored by LAPD, but only shook his hand ,I wanted to ask him because he clearly was a consult on all his movies & series. Sorry for the extremely long illustration, I never talked while on duty, now I’m told that I can’t shut up, since I my 3 kids are lawyers/lobbyists on the East Coast & my wife of 20 years left me when I was shot on 08/09/2003 & was in the hospital for 358 days,after 16 surgeries & 8 day coma. She ran off with a MD, imagine that?

    Im a volunteer firefighter and we are absolutly not allowed to have sirens or lights on our Cars
    I dont know you really good so I dont know if you are a Full Time firefighter or not…would be awesome to learn something about that.

      Germany, that’s awesome!! Here in the US, each region has their own laws/regulations that each members and emergency personnel have to abide by while operating their personal vehicles. I’m also only volunteer. Welcome to my channel!
