Nice video. You mention the villages on the hilltops. The ‘borghi’, like your own town. They are real gems, I love Montepagano. Enjoy and best wishes, Wil
IT IS a best kept secret! In Italy they used to be called the 'mountain people' in not the kindest of terms. Abruzzo is Beautiful, Marvelous, and I think the people there are Great, down to earth, in touch with the land, and Real. Much respect to the Abruzzesse!
Hi Robert! We see you on the next hill.😄 We moved from San Francisco and we're loving it so far, although all the administrative tasks and trying to learn the language are exhausting!
@ericgray6625 Eric, I have so many good memories of SF, traveling there frequently and spending time with clients at the Embarcadero. Life here is wonderful, and I have views of the Adriatic and the Gran Sasso/ Majella range. Italians have turned bureaucracy into an art form, lol! Take deep breaths and drink plenty of vino. On YT, seek out Manu on Italy Made Easy for Beginners. There are initially 30 podcasts, and he will give you confidence and coraggio.
Nel cuore dell'Italia c'è una terra rude,ma autenticamente naturale, dove l'uomo continua a convivere con il territorio e gli animali in armonia. Questo è l'Abruzzo, anche nel 2023
At least in our experience the Italians are extremely forgiving of our weak efforts at speaking Italian, but it can be difficult to handle daily things. We're taking a hardcore Italian class so we can handle things better.
That's a great overview of Abruzzo. Thànk you. Hope your adventure continues well 😊
Thank you, Anne!

Thank you! We never get tired of the hill towns. Every time we come around the corner and see Loreto, we're just amazed we live here.

Our experience has been wonderful here. The people are incredibly kind and we love that there are almost no tourists for 9 months of the year.
Hi, I live next to you in Collecorvino, originally from NYC.

@@ennio0rh-427 Spero che l'Abruzzo non cambi mai!
Please keep it a Secret !! ( i guess it's too late.... )
I’m assuming if you don’t speak Italian, daily chores such as paying a bill over the phone or going to a doctor would be difficult..
