Wow!!! I used to play silent ball in 5th grade! If you ever teach older grades than just remember that THEY LOVE IT TOO! something that I can suggest for you, is having them do a few push ups or jumping jacks for when they either drop the ball or make noise. Then they aren't sad when they get out.

Take those letters and put them in a special folder. Whenever you have a rough day, you can read them and perhaps you will feel better. Tell yourself how blessed you are that you did get to see your students in person and that you were able to see their writing on paper rather than on a screen. I miss that analog part of teaching in the classroom .Another book choice for a read aloud is The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane. I have been reading that book with my students for over a decade, and it is just wonderful. Take care and stay safe.

For help with sticking things to the wall, they make command hooks with clips kinda like binder clips! They work well I’ve used them for tapestries and posters.
I loved seeing clips of you teaching while the kids were in the class room this time! The notes they left tugged on my heart strings for sure🥺

Hi Madison. Where did you get the resource where the students fix the sentences?
How did you go about getting permission from principals to film? Other teacher bloggers have had issues with that.
I was wondering the same thing.
We have a contract parents have to sign giving permission for their students to be filmed/be on social media & our school highly encourages the use of social media so I haven’t had any issues with it!
I try not to get my kiddos faces in the video, & since they are all wearing masks their faces are covered :)
My children school are big on social media as well. I sign waivers/contracts every year for each student/child. I use the pictures their teachers post and create fabulous year books for each of my children.

I would like to know who created the resource you printed for the student?
I have a question: When you have something like the Word Sort that you had in your PowerPoint, how do the kids do that? Do they have a paper, or do they use a whiteboard? Or if they are virtual, do how do they do it? Could you answer if they are in person and virtual? :) Thank you!
Okay, so after continuing to watch the video, I see how they do the word sort in person, so how would you do that word sort virtual?
Hi there! So when we are virtual I wouldn’t be able to give kids a hands on activity like that, instead we use a platform called Seesaw where I can upload activities for the kiddos to work on. All of their activities would be on the computer :)
