The only good days between Russia and US is when Russia was on it's knees. US don't like Russia regaining it's power. Not we have problems. From Russian side US was never a problem. US was Serbias friend also until the Serbs didn't bow down like all the other Yugoslav people. And guess what, over night we were bad guys. Even though we were allies like 90% of our history.
At least we have some memories of the better times when Russian Fighters frequently visited American cities and Bases...It saddens me that our country and Russia are so divided once again...
OMG! I was there! Ten years old, remember it like it was yesterday! I’ve looked for this before, finally found something great! Thank you for sharing this!
i've seen Su27 and F18 standing next to each other at Pitch Black Australia, that plane is big and tall compare to f18, it's look like The Rock and Kevin Hart.
The first time the Flankers came to NA was 1989 at the Abbotsford Airshow. One was a trainer, and they had a hat draw for NATO pilots to see who got a ride. The Yanks were pissed when the CDN got the ride.
The good old days, wish we could still be like this with each other

On 1:07 a plane looks like An 225 in normal soviet painting, when it was involved in famous "Buran" space shuttle program.
That is the AN 124 Ruslan …

I would agree with you if An 124 had 3 engines on one wing ;) But An 225 had 6 engines in total only.
Off all aircraft, I like this one the most
beautiful planes...and power
The Four Horsemen of Russian fighters:
Su-27 Flanker
Su-25 Frogfoot
Mig-29 Fulcrum
Mig-31 Foxhound
Soviet, man, Soviet, not Russian.
Viktor Pugachov in young days! Great man and great pilot!!!
WHAT a masterpiece.
Good old days...
Those open BIG smiles at the end..:)

ohh, Pugachev was there?...damn.
I bet those Russian pilots landing on a US runway were thinking, "Ah, smooth as butter."
В 80-х это выглядело ультимативно-подавляюще.
I remember watching him do the pugachev cobra maneuver
Pugachev: where's Velenko
awesome 2 beautiful birds in nasty nest
