      It takes more skill to wheel without lockers. If I had selectable lockers on my Jeep, I’d try everything without being locked up first, because better driver.

    • @happydood663
      @happydood663 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jakeweber9787 Curious how it’s not true? Wheeling a trail with lockers engaged is easier (more traction, no one wheel tire fire situations) than it is without lockers engaged. Without lockers engaged you have to learn to drive the line as opposed to just driving up the obstacle. Granted, lockers will definitely let you get much farther than without.
      I learned far more about choosing lines and obstacles from driving my Jeep nearly stock open/open than after I locked it up. Not saying lockers aren’t important or totally useful, just saying it takes more skill to navigate obstacles with out them.

    • @jakeweber9787
      @jakeweber9787 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@happydood663 you may have learned to drive much easier lines and if you took the harder lines, you caused undue stress and abuse on your drive train. This is like saying learning to offroad in 2wd makes you a better driver.

    As always, another awesome video! I have on my bucket list to go camping there in Sand Hollow someday. Britney and Kevin, may I please ask you a question? How do can we write to you and ask you questions? My 4X4 is a 2011 Dodge Ram 2500 CTD and I'd like to ask you questions about your Ram 3500 and some of the upgrades, such as shocks, that you have completed on it.

    LB. Really thorough demonstration of how much better the Nitto's are specific for off-roading and 'anti-roc' swaybars ! My impression is the experimentation on various obstacles justifies KOTH finish ? Liking improved 'Stepchild' in habitat. V

    A friend called the other day. He said his rear end was making funny noises. I asked if he had gas. He replied, "Yeah, I'm full of gas." I said, "Well, that's your problem." After a brief pause, he asked, "Why would gas make my rear end sound funny?" I retorted, "It's called a fart!" He hung up.

    Okay off subject of the title of your video I need make you aware if you watch TH-cam on TV they don't have several of your TH-cam's that you post and can see on a computer or on your cell phone. An example is the one you titled we finally got to Washington.... Video of you guys going up Sasquatch trail you cannot find that on cell phones, I'm verified it on three Androids and two iPhones.

    So a reason not to run with front lockers... I'm in the midwest where we deal with a lot of fire roads that have huge mud holes that are at times very easy to get stuck in. I hear this tip from a friend who heard it from an old guy that has been off-roading longer than you two have been live... When going through trials with big mud holes, only run rear lockers. If you get stuck, engage the front lockers to back up. Once free, turn off the front lockers and try a new line.
