I have not been knitting this week, just running after time to get enough sleep. I guess it will come back ! I miss my sons and being with my family. Those bear mountain socks are looking so amazing - too pretty to hide in shoes and under pants! Love Hinterm Stein’s patterns - so classy and perfect for a work wardrobe. I’ve only knit the Holey Comfort cardigan but there are several of her patterns that I’ve tagged as a favorite. My reluctance comes when I look at the finished projects that often don’t look as smart and polished as her samples. It makes me mindful that that the yarn choice is extremely important for her designs and the finishing skills needed may also be substantial. I’m very drawn to her blazer like knits and the Chanel jacket styles. You’ve nailed her elegance with your Cozy X sweater -the colour is out of this world, suits you to a tee, and I imagine it’s very versatile.

What a lovely Christmas holiday you had, and lovely gifts to enjoy in the New Year. The postcards and the pictures are quite wonderful, very evocative. Art brings joy every time we encounter it. Love the socks you are making. I could not get gauge on the Ilha I wanted to knit, so am happily making Treit by Kate Davies using some beautiful Yarnadelic by John Arbon yarns. I am traveling now to my winter home in Florida, and am very eager to get there! I hope your return to work does not overtire you. Take care and Inhope your healing is complete soon.

@@Woollykindknits The earrings are from Marthe Jean in Australia, from several years back, before the customs regulations changed and made it impossible for me to get other ones. I got two pairs at the time, one blue and one green. These are “Moths”, one of her popular styles. Crazy for a knitter, right 😺 Meeting Thibaut Derien was amazing, he is very soft and kind. I just bound off Alary a couple minutes ago before going to bed, so .. Dazzler should be next. I guess I need to swatch as I am probably going to be off gauge. @ it was great. My sisters and nieces visited me on Amelia Island, Florida for 5 days. Amelia, my 7 year old niece, wore us out. We were on the go every day all day. It was fun. I didn’t knit one stitch while they were here. 😅

Your Christmas project moved so fast! I am knitting my first bulky weight yarn in the Roscoe pattern- I was given beautiful Malabrigo yarn before Christmas. Very fast EXCEPT I chose stranded color work in the flat, which really slowed me down. I decided to do the sleeves in the round for that reason. Your new picture is lovely. I have never regretted purchasing art, good decision!
