WCNC Charlotte investigation uncovers shocking secret about kids in foster care

AWCNC Charlotte investigation uncovered a shocking secret about kids in the foster care system in Charlotte. Some are being forced to sleep at the Youth and Family Services office because there's no place else for them to go.
"It breaks your heart because I just want to keep doing more," Robin Leonard said.
Leonard and her husband, Beau, were licensed foster parents waiting to finalize the adoption of their youngest daughters when a social worker called them about another young girl who needed help.

I’m not surprised at all. I spent almost 2 years in Foster Care back in 2019-2020. The fact that this surprises just shows how much our government hides how messed up this system is. If these people that are surprised could hear some of the other crazy things y’all minds would be blown.

I understand ppl fall on hard times, I do. But with so many children in the system it makes me wonder why bother having a child just to give them up. I think the parents feel they are doing them a favour but trust me youre not.

This is heartbreaking. Where are the parents? If they are around, can they take classes and get therapy? Are there social workers? I feel so bad for those kids. 😢

Therapy only does so much, my mother has been in therapy my whole life (I am 28 now) some people are just incapable of being functional

And to add I was in foster care for 15 years yes we do have social workers but unfortunately the people that run the system doesn’t care about the kids

No Extended Family?
Where are the FAMILY COURTS Records & Transcripts/Audios/Videos to include ALL said COMMUNITY Outreach & Resource Efforts????

Unfortunately extended family is rarely looked into I was a foster child for 15 years and my mother told services my grandmother was dead (she was not and tried reaching out for me for about 10 years)

Unless that child is absolutely in dangerous situations where their life is at stake they do not need to be taken out of their home with their parents that love them

I thought that they are supposed to reunited the family first thing but reason is because they're don't want to help the families of the families dearly so much ,yeah to false alignment with the child or children 😊
