    Excellent video! My 61 Bel Air had this setup installed when I bought it. This has de-mystified the whole cooling system under the hood. Thanks!

    Thanks for the video it helped me install m69 C10 project.. I am finding the radiator is sliding back and forth in those upper and lower mounting brackets. Did you have any issues ?? or maybe I'm doing something wrong? also had to replace all the fan mounting bolts to stainlesss steel as mine rusted like crazy just sitting on the vehicle Thanks very much again for the video Best regards FLynn

    • @AutoEdits
      @AutoEdits  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use a bit of dense foam tape to insulate those brackets and that keeps the rad in place great.

    • @flynnaryd
      @flynnaryd 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AutoEdits so you put that in between the rad and those top and bottom aluminum brackets ? Which connects the fan shroud ? Good idea my rad moves back an forth between those supports

    Awesome! I'm really thinking about an overflow recovery tank. It only connects on the top? Between the caps "neck" and the overflow?

    • @AutoEdits
      @AutoEdits  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The overflow tank actually connects from the neck of the radiator to the BOTTOM of the overflow tank... the top hose is only a place in case the whole thing over fills and leaks

    If the fan only works when the key is in and the engine is running, how does it cool down the car after you’ve driven it and you’ve parked it somewhere? When I park my car in summer sometimes the fan keeps running for a few minutes after I’ve turned the engine off to cool it.
    Love your videos. Keep them coming :-)!

    • @TheMotocross4life
      @TheMotocross4life 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tobias Block newer cars use radiator fan timer relays

    • @TheMotocross4life
      @TheMotocross4life 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tobias Block there are also temperature relays that use the temp sensor on the radiator and keep the fans running until it meets a lower requirement with ignition off

    • @TheMotocross4life
      @TheMotocross4life 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tobias Block there also similar to older turbo cars when people use turbo timers to keep the engine running for a bit longer after you take the key out to continue circulating coolant to the turbo at idle

    • @AutoEdits
      @AutoEdits  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can wire it to do that but was just demonstrating it as the instructions suggested... but on cars that I used as "track day" vehicles... I would wire the fans to stay on for a bit.

  • @Manny92284
    @Manny92284 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why don't you add an Aluminum Radiator to your Jeep? It would be a great upgrade since Wranglers tend to heat up on trails (rock crawling). BTW, great video.

  • @hvac4444
    @hvac4444 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    What is the wiring setup for if you have AC in the car, Need the fans to come on every if car is not up to temp yet?

    • @AutoEdits
      @AutoEdits  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I eventually put a manual switch to kick the fans on whenever I turn the a/c on. There is a way to wire in a ground relay to the a/c switch to have it turn on the fans automatically.

    • @AutoEdits
      @AutoEdits  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Check the radiator, if it's stock it could use a re-core. I recommend getting a modern radiator like the one in this video but make sure what you have is operating properly and then check the fan clutch if it's an manual fan or if it's an electric fan... make sure you have a strong enough fan... oh and fan shroud...
